T17 maps and modifiers are THE WORST thing that happened to POE

I'm so glad this thread is perfectly illustrating and proving to GGG that T17 maps are bad for the game. The more traction and views it gets, the faster we can improve the game by deleting/rebalancing this content which is just a net negative to the game.

Its literally all anti-fun design: bad layouts,annoying af enemies,bad map mods. Its just all bad lol, and the majority of players agree.

They’ve already adjusted T17 maps some time ago, so it’s quite evident there won’t be any further changes, for obvious reasons.

But let’s entertain the idea for a moment, suppose T17 maps are removed entirely. What happens then? Players will simply shift to T16.5 maps and continue earning deserved amounts of Divines per hour.
Why? Because they actively engage with the game.

So now that T17s are gone and the majority still outperform those running suboptimal alc-and-go setups with equally suboptimal builds, what’s next on the chopping block?

Remove T16.5 maps?
Players will just move on to heavily juiced T16s and still vastly outperform inefficient play. Strip away the juice entirely? They’ll still outpace average currency gains through sheer optimization and efficiency, by simply running more than just a single map every twenty minutes.

At this point, it’s clear that removing content isn’t the solution to alleviate FOMO. Even the developers understand this, which is precisely why T17 (and effectively T16.5) maps exist in the first place. Raising the upper ceiling of map progression was long overdue, not a mistake to be undone.

T17s are bad for the game and should be rebalanced so that the average player can enjoy them, or should just be deleted. Nothing will ever change this. And until that happens, I will continue to sell all t17 drops, because running them is cringe af

they're some of my favourite content actually. gives me a reason to push my character to the max to be able to juice them as much as possible, and thankfully the game gives you all the tools to tone down the difficulty to something you can take. :)

Congrats sir! I don't knwo if you realize this, but you are in the .00001% of the player base. Freakin elite. How did you acquire your 20+ mirrors?

T17s are still bad, and always will be. This is fact. Which is why so many threads keep popping up about them. They ain't fun for the vast majority of players. Everything about them sucks.

Hopefully all their rewards get nerfed into oblivion so players have no reason to do them anymore and all they ever drop is uber boss fragments, or they just get deleted and we get the atlas tree keystones for uber bosses again. That would be a net positive for the game and 90%+ of players would be happy with that change.

All these maps do is make you want to alt+f4 and not play the game. And that's bad game design.
