The Third Edict: What We're Working On

And now we are nerfing minions mid cycle even though dumb lightning whatever is broken for the 3rd time and it's getting to do whatever it wants. This is just LAZY and terrible game design at this point.
Anything about waystones no longer being a guaranteed drop from the last rare mob and a tier higher guaranteed from map boss? That seems like another unintended revert.
I'm quite pleased with 0.3 overall, but there are some issues that should be fixed asap.

First and foremost is the issue where the game freezes, then pauses (GGG cog loading screen appears) and presumably reloads shaders, and finally works again but any zone progress (mini /overlay map) is gone. Not sure if this is still the Nvidia issue (I'm running a RTX 4070), but it's extremely annoying and has lead to several avoidable deaths and unnecessary backtracking because map/zone progress was lost (this is more an issue during campaign, less so in actual maps).

Second and less important (still annoying though), I thought that Jonathan/Mark mentioned in one of their 0.3 interviews (not sure if it was the one with Ziggy) that it should be possible to keep sprinting after holding down space for a second or two. Would highly appreciate if this could be implemented soon-ish.

And lastly, performance issues: I was under the impression that performance in general should be better this patch. I did not notice that at all. Performance seems mostly unchanged, and sometimes even worse than pre 0.3. I've noticed a decline in performance specifically regarding explosions/aoe from fire skills (grenades, mortar, and most noticeably Vaal Guard spectres). Aside from that, any time I encounter an Abyss, I notice a drop in fps.

One more: visual clarity. Wasn't this one of the original issues that GGG wanted to address with PoE 2 (before initial EA launch). I remember J+M talking about that several times - that it was very important to them to have way better visual clarity in PoE 2 vs. 1. What happened here? I feel like under certain circumstances (Abyss ground effects + skill effects = can't see anything), visual clarity is waaaay worse than in PoE 1. Would love to hear them address this in the near future.

Seriously nothing about performance?
Like holy shit guys , i couldnt care less about any of this when i cant actually play the game because every league you somehow manage to make performance worse for both games and then dont give a shit about fixing it.

When 0.2 launched i played on ryzen 2600x + RX 580 8gb gpu ( yes ancient combo for a pc ) but guess what, this game ran better than it does now after i upgraded the pc.

Currently running 5700x3d + 4060ti and the game is somehow 10x worse performance wise because u have to make infinite particle effects.

As i said i couldnt care less about the god damn graphics of the game when i have fps dips to 20-30 every map near the abyss , or even fps dips when doing normal mechanics like ritual or expedition.

Jesus fucking christ guys, maybe do something about this god-awful performance instead of doing random stuff that changes nothing?


I would be happy if I only had FPS drops, but the game constantly crashes. After it crashes, I can't even open it until I restart my PC.
Bug Report for the "Altar" Gameplay:

Dear GGG,

Hello! I am a dedicated player of your game. Recently, while experiencing the "Altar" gameplay, I encountered two issues that forced me to exit and restart the game. As a result, I lost both the opportunity to continue in the map and the Altar points I had accumulated.

The specific issues are as follows:
1. Refreshed monsters become invincible and cannot be killed.
2. Statue-like monsters sometimes fail to appear, preventing progress.
The "Map activation failed" bug is not mentioned, but it hardlocks people out of full endgame and its progression? Guess the league is done for me.

Can you actually fix the 1 major problem?!? The servers and optimization. Hardcore is unplayable because the disconnect boss is unbeatable.
