POE 2 0.3.0b patch crashing high end pc's

same issue as everybody. I try changes in the settings but not so promessing right now

Are you folks talking about the crash that happens when:

- game pauses suddenly and stalls.
- after awhile, the loading gears / fiery sparks appear in the background.
- loading sparks gone and goes back to last recorded moment it stalls.
- your explored map status resets

After POE 2 0.3.0 was released, I experience the same issue:

- game pauses suddenly and it stalls about 20-30 second.
- after a while, the loading gears / fiery sparks appear in the background.
- loading sparks gone and it goes back to last recorded moment it stalls.
- your explored map status resets.

My specs:

OS Microsoft Windows 11 Home
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 7940HX with Radeon Graphics
RAM 32.0 GB
Storage 1 GB SSD
Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU

I enjoy the game a lot and I would love to blast it but in this current state I am unable to, even if I wanted to :/

Thanks for keeping the community updated. Please fix this :)
I'm having the same issue:

AMD 5700X3D
RTX 4060 Ti
64GB DDR4 Patriot 2666Mhz
Same as everyone else, and it seems to be getting worse with each patch...
Hubby and I have the same setup:

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, Version 10.0.26100
DirectX runtime version: DirectX 12
Driver: Game Ready Driver - 581.15 - Thu Aug 28, 2025
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13400
RAM: 32.0 GB
Storage (2): HDD - 1.8 TB,SSD - 931.5 GB

Graphics card
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

Mine runs fine, no issues, even in hubs, but with hubby's the CPU is constantly at 100% with 40% gpu usage.

All his setting at exactly like mine.

I'm pretty sure its a memory leak. Game starts out using like 6-8 gigs of ram, then as the session goes on it goes to 10gbs, to 12gbs, to 14gbs, the stutters get worse and worse as the ram usage goes up, and then it finally ends up crashing once it fills up the all the ram my PC has available. This didn't happen in 0.2. The stutters get so unbearable I have to restart the game every hour or else it will inevitably crash. Needs fixing ASAP.

You might be right. I've posted possible solution on page 7. Since i've alocated more memory crashes were very sporadical but still. then i've switched in graphic settings from "shadows + global illumination" to "shadows" and now i'm many hours in and not a single crash since.
Here is My Spec :

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700F
RTX 4070 TI
32GB DDR 4
mother board TUF GAMING B660-PLUS WIFI D4 ASUS

game setup:

window resolution : 3440 x 1440

DX12
Nvidia DLSS Balanced
Detail settings:
texture quality : High
Texture filtering : 8x
Lightning : Shadow + global
Shadow+ GI : Low
Sun Shadow : High
number of Light : High
water detail : High
Fps: cap 90
dynamic culling : off
engine multithreadin : on

and here is a T16 overun map so you can look how it run on an old computer which is not bad sadely resuslt freeze and LD.

This is exactly what happens. And in the beginning i thought is was my new graphics card. Or my ram died.

But its exactly this. It get so bad that if i want to restart my pc i cant. Ram is full and the pc cant shut down. There is no other way than to pull the plug.
Try NIS + Vulcan, less problems than with other upscalers also VSync off and turn off ingame lock max FPS, only VSync recommend to use is inside Nvidia/AMD or in RivaTuner(you can lock FPS here).
Same issue, I thought it was just because my computer is old but I see that a lot of people are having this problem.

My Spec
Processador Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

Armazenamento 466 GB SSD KINGSTON SNV2S500G
Placa de vídeo NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB)
