Just one small question. Since we will use elemental focus gem for both rf and searing bond, is it still necessary to spend skill point on the burning damage?

the burning dmg nodes are the strongest aviable on the tree

i didn't even check the technique to kill him, i died twice on the three bosses (fucking thing poisoning, or bleeding me), no deaths on atziri & vaals.

the only thing atm is that i feel really squishy.
i am thinking in taking more armor/life nodes.

Armour nodes wont help you as you dont use any good armour gear ;)

you should at least upgrade the boots and shield to pure armour gear.

Also swap out lions roar, its bad for this build, better get a granite+armour roll, basalt flask or rumis instead.

A stibnite flask is fine, but only useful if you facetank mobs which you shouldnt do in most cases on a totem build

I've been following the guide, with a small twist on gear. It involves a corrupted Stone of Lazhwar amulet, a Perandus Blazon belt (mine is corrupted for +5% area radius), Rumi's Concoction and a shield. This gives me 2 uses of 5.76 seconds at 42% spell block. It has the side effect of making my silver flask last for 7.2 seconds as well.




I do need 18 dex on my jewels to meet gem requirements, but that could be made up on rings or gloves. My resists are 148%, 155% and 152% respectively in Merciless with 5776 health at level 89.

I've retired my RF Totem guy too - great build and works really well as first character in league, but hit a wall on taking him any further.
Also need the currency after wasting it all on crafting/gambling!

Great guide! Perfect build to start if you don't have tons of exalted sitting around or in a new league.
Currently lvl 80, can do deathless Atziri and maps up to tier 11 (don't have higher ones atm)
Only thing i don't like is that i dont have enough sockets to fit everything without weapon swapping. Either i make use of Elemental Overload and Equilibrium and equip Orb of Lightning + Ice Trap + Bloodmagic or i use a movement skill. The second option for me at the moment is much better because it's easier to dodge and the clear speed is really good. Maybe i switch the gems for bosses or high tier maps.

Gear cost me around 2ex but the 5L isn't necessary (just a huge dmg/clear speed boost) and i'm way overcapped (158/168/175 without shield | 185/188(190 with shield)
5.6k Life and 3k armour (13k with flasks)



i chose daresso's passion over a second doryanis catalyst because whirling blades fits my playstyle better but leap slam with 20/20 faster attacks could be just as good.

Vulnerability curse and "Cursed enemies take xx% increased damage from damage over time effects" work with RF totem?
