I would have so much more respect for these pro-SFL posts if at the very least they were open and honest about where they are coming from with their arguments.
There is literally not a single valid reason period for having a permanent SFL. Not a single swaying post ever made on the subject.
So again... come clean and save yourself some face here: " I just want super duper loot to drop from the sky."
Man up.
;)
no hehe i just dont want to deal with the retarded people in trade channels no more. your post is a perfect example what is going on there period
#rekt is a bit of an understatement here
i think #fukt would work better

Especially the unique drop rates are not high enough for SFL players. I am not talking about the top end unique or the trash / twink uniques, but mid range and build enabling uniques. The only good unique that has a good drop rate is troll mantle, but in fact I think troll mantle could have a little lower drop rate lol.
Typical WOW-player detected. The bane of every online game.

I see people are still touting off: "why is there a separate HC League?"
If there wasn't a separate league, people will still have all their items on character death. So it is not real HC because they just have to level up again and re-equip their GG items.
If items were destroyed completely on death with the character then HC could have been in the same league as SC. However it still wouldn't be the same as a pure HC league as currently because everyone would make MF SC characters to fund their HC characters since they can easily trade between SC and HC.
I say it again. The separate league is to keep the economies separate. Since SF players do not engage with the economy they don't need a separate league. Unless their hidden agenda is increased drop rates in a SF league. This is not difficult to understand.
Just like someone with a SF character could make an ubbershopper and use the items on their SF?
Come on, guys. Stop with this. It IS just the same that a HC character could play HC in SC by self imposed rules and the HC experience would be possible to a point but fall short of expectations. Replace HC with SF and SC with current league.
"You can play SF already" is a poor excuse.
"You can play HC already" is a comparison.
Pointing out the flaws in the second statement is pointing out the flaws in the first.
Now, that said. I'll repeat; I don't think SFL is the answer. But not for this reason.
I suggest reading my post again as I don't think I can make it any clearer.
Plus your bold bit makes no sense at all. A SF player trading. That is not SF.
It makes perfect sense.
It's exactly the same as a HC mode character not playing by HC mode rules would not be a true HC mode player.
Both examples require the player to self impose rules. You see issues with one but not the other.
Again, I'll point out that I don't think SFL is the answer, I'm happy self-imposing SF rules, as I would be imposing HC mode rules if I wanted to play that way.
The problems associated with playing SF currently are not with those self imposed rules but with the pyramid economy and gates that require trading.
It's really funny, the whole SFL debate starts with flawed reasons to not have SFL when there are valid reasons. Those flawed reasons are countered with HC examples, we then see the HC example countered with points that could be applied to the original SF example. What's funny, is that the SF reason is flawed to begin with, more so than the HC example.
Casually casual.

If you dont like the game GGG made why do you play it? There are other games out there you know? None of the SFL proponents have answered these 2 questions: Why not play SF as is and why not just move on to a different game? There wont be a SFL and you ahve to deal with it.
First answer: (and i wrote it before, so your complaining about this point is wrong) if you want to participate on leagues, you will never get on a high rank as a selffound-player.
second answer: Why should anyone play another game? It´s not on your to decide what other people have to do.
For me it´s just a simple thing: Each new league i gave some bucks to support GGG
But after the decision that there will not be a SF-League i won´t do this anymore.
Why won´t i support GGG anymore?
If GGG says players like me are not important enough to think about a SF-League i will give my money to another company who wants paying customers.
Good for this other company, bad for GGG - Nothing as easy as that.

Good riddance. a SFL would be a terrible thing for the game. Dividing the playerbase further.
playing selffound is already completely viable, unless you enforce artificial progression speed on yourself which isnt necessary. You dont need to drop so much stuff that you progress alot on a daily basis.
Lets be honest, most people just use the SFL argument to get a league with much more loot dropping.
And thanks for not caving in GGG.
I vote (x) NO on SFL.

No, if a player trades then they are not playing SF. There is no such thing as true SF or not. It is black or white, no in-between.
SF self imposed rule is easy to follow by a player.
HC self imposed rule is almost impossible to follow by a player. Who is going to delete their items and characters permanently in a game about finding items? Nobody would do this and HC would not exist.
Self imposed rule = self imposed rule.
Sorry, I can't see your point, at all.
Regardless, this debate is stupid. Because "you can play SF currently" is stupid.
It's a debate based on a statement which is flawed to begin with.
Now if there were adjustments, changes made to the current leagues which actually meant one could play SF in the current leagues. To and through end game, engage in crafting and not resort to farming easy but available content to attempt access to more difficult content. Changes that would also improve the game for non-self found players, too. Changes that would save this game from an inevitable demise. Changes that would increase player base, retention and longevity; then we could indeed say "you can play SF in current leagues".
The debate that you can play HC in SC would still exist, the comparisons would still exist, but at least the statement it was born from would be true.
Casually casual.

try SF next league, see when itchy feeling of opening trade char starts
i'll tell you when
around lvl 85 and 73+ maps when alchs and chaos you got from piesto ran out
deleting characters requires equal amount of self discipline
it is just there is honest HC league when the game takes care of deleting character for you
you can play SC and delete character if you died, but keep it if it happened
decause of desync or game bug

So, as you can play self found in an existing league, I doubt we need to separate out the leagues.
I always hated that answer because by that logic HC leagues shouldn't exist as you can delete your characters on death in SC leagues.
What?.. you need a separate league just because you can't control yourself to NOT trade with other players? Ok then.
