Added a new currency item: Vaal Orb. It corrupts a target item, modifying it unpredictably. Once an item is corrupted, further currency cannot be applied to it. This includes restoring imprints.

This make me so sad, the people who will use these at end game is negligible as rolling a 6S 5L just to improve an item through corruption is fairly pointless same as taking the risk with an item worth more than a few exalts.

What's worse is that this is the way we get white sockets, something that is highly desirable on end game crafted gear to increase support gem diversity on 5-6L items.

It's not all about end game you know.I personally will be corrupting all sorts of things especially the useful but cheap uniques,if they're as common as chaos orbs why not(thats if they still are).

I've seen what good summoners can do, and it's definitely efficient enough as it is anyway.

Stay with your runner-up choices, if even that, while the rest of us bark at the heels of efficiency. No one's mad at you for picking the build that placed #10 in terms of efficiency, however, as someone who played the build much longer than you have, it's a far-shot from being what it used to be, even after the initial nerfs.

If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.
Thanks GGG.
The witch starting area needs way more than just a numbers tweak. The available paths to travel around are absolutely awful, fixing that should be the priority.
My BOR build is a shit from this patch.. WTF this shit patch...
Old life leech:you can stack queue and run away from mosnter, leeches from queue will help you recover.

New life leech: you have to stand your ground and keep atacking because you don't have queue any more and your life recover will not benefit if you run away. Instead you have small reward. Your stronger hit is calculated whne you leech. But there are some questions to answer. What happen when you supose to leech 100 HP but in the midle of recover (lets say when you recover 60HP) you deal better hit which should grant you 150 leech? Will it recover full 150 or 150-60(already recovered from weaker hit)?

May be wrong, still think about it. Also overal HP pool is important due to 20% HP per sec. Hmm...

idk, it seems normal to me that a safer archetype is less efficient in term of clearspeed for example, especially when it's not much gear dependant.
I'm not a pro of necros, I've just seen some perform well, that's all.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Ok so my only class on the game is Marauder, Iplay from November but my gear is far more from decent. So today i see that Vaal Pact is nerfed to the ground. Also how life leech gonna work is a mystery too. And final my passive tree gonna be completely changed. So if chamging my passive tree means a nerfing i serously dont understand it, from when marauder became the best class of POE? If it brings a minor boost then i ll stop the QQ and be compromised with Vaal Pact effect.

Otherwise, with every major patch we have a nerfind after nerfing coming and i am not in mood to change completely my gear and play game style every 4 months or so.

Just my 2 cents.

Are you playing a CI marauder ?? Because if not, VP gets basically a buff for you, plus it's not "to the ground".
And the starting area gets a buff.

Sorry, i am quite new in the game but dont understand how VP get a buff when you gain back instantly the 40% of your life hit instead of 100%. Also how do you know that the starting area of marauder gets a buff when there ar no details in the patch notes?

Spell Totem and Ranged Attack totem now have multiplicative cast and attack speed penalties.

What does that mean in numbers???

if you had 80% cast speed bonus before you totem would have

(1.8-.3) = 1.5 50% cast speed bonus

now it will have

(1.8)*(1-.3) = 1.26 26% cast speed bonus

if you have 0% cast speed its exactly the same as before. So the more cast speed you have, the more this change affects you.

Keep in mind spell and elemental damage has been buffed. The slower cast/attack of the spell/ranged totems was a probably a result of this, to keep these totems at their status quo while boosting self caster/attacker.

No one is going to know if the reduced cast/attack speed is a nerf, status quo, or boost until we know how much spell/elemental damaged has been increased.
I love the fact that VP has changed to be more useable for HP builds but 60% less leech is way to much. Most CI crit builds, after spending a ton of passives to get VP to survive reflect, they could with just blood rage, and adding a LL gem on reflect maps, just to cover the reflected damage with leech.
Now consider a CI build with lv20 blood rage,lv20 Life leech,6% leech from max rolled amulet, and 4% leech from rings,2% from gloves(without maligaro's)AND blood drinker= 32.8% leech * 0.4 = 13.12% Leech, meaning that even with maxed rolled life leech on every item spot,LL gem, blood rage AND blood drinker you won't be able to much the reflect percentage. That basically makes reflect maps impossibe for any high DPS crit build impossible,or if your damage is not that high, still reflect + vulnerability or shock ground will get you killed.Isn't that abit too much???

The biggest bitching throughout was about block builds being OP,which werent nerfed at all(and i am GLAD),but why such a huge nerfs to crit builds, which arent very viable in hardcore anyway.
Now another thing is,the rework of the marauder starting area. His starting area was AWASOME and MANDATORY for every tank build. Why would they rework it,while leaving the shadow and the witch starting areas as they are/??

Will we have the updated tree soon? If I need to re-do my plan for my next char in ambush, would be nice to be able to do it.
