1.1.0 Patch Notes - Sacrifice of the Vaal
Well, I like most of the patch and am really psyched for the new leagues. Though, I don't understand some things:
1. Leech. Why did they nerf it this way? It's no worse for builds with high attack speed because they will repeatedly hit before the initial leech ends. This is especially problematic for mana leech since fast attack builds have more problems with mana most of the times. If it doesn't cue anymore the leech won't reg your mana until the next mob group... I don't like this change. 2. Vaal Pact. Uh? Instead of making it more on par with normal leech they give it a slight buff and a hard nerf while nerfing leech (without Vaal Pact) as well to make them on par? Meh. 3. All Support Gems now support values up to level 30. What does this mean? I don't understand it. 4. Nerfing Spellblock and moving +max ress away from Marauder/Templar/Duelist? I feel the Pain for Melee's against Temple Piety/Storm Heralds. I think there should be more Options to attain higher max ress. |

" Without snapshotting, summoners are rather so so. And I have quite high level summoner. Or I had, because after totem changes, she will again will rest in Sarn. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

Somehow I do not understand why Marauder seems to have a huge passive skill rebuild. Nothing was wrong with Marauder imho, it is a good class to start with PoE, compared easy to play and equip and you can play solo/selffound with no issues, perfect for beginners imho.
Dies GGG has a problem with that? For example, it makes no sense to move Elemental Adaptation away from the Marauder because HE is the basic Melee class that needs these increased resists the most. GGG is already very restrictive to "give" players resists for whatever reason, see the nerf of the all resists Shields. I just can't see any logic in making the Game even harder (for certain builds and playstyles). Please explain. |

I need to understand something.
If life leech is not queued, then it makes no sense to queue reflection, either. Here's how VP works now when you kill 3 enemies at once: Leech Reflect Leech Reflect Leech Reflect Now, how is it going to work? Leech Reflect Reflect Reflect OR Leech Reflect Leech Reflect Leech Reflect because it's instant? If the former, it should really, really NOT queue up reflection as well, or else anybody who is not single-target is going to feel some major pain, even with Vaal Pact. Edit: This question also applies to life gain on hit, which would heavily impact speed-based melee splash life-gain-on-hit folks. the only real big question behind vaal pact is now:
will it help against reflect in my opinion this was the only reason why i take vaal pact, if vaal pact dont help anymore against reflect, its senseless. |

I also would like to know if this new leech mechanic is actualy a nerf or a buff compared to the old mechanics. ^^"
