0.11.0 Patch Notes

I would like to see Physical damage buffed by this as well:

- Fix Melee Physical Damage to apply to more than just the weapon's physical damage.
- Allow rings to roll the highest tiers of physical damage instead of eliminating the top 3 tiers. (Rings get all tiers of elemental damage, so why don't they get all tiers of physical? Doesn't make sense, especially since the higher tiers aren't that much more damage!)

There were other things but those are the first two on my list (because I'm making facebreaker build probably LOL).

what about RF build that use life for damage? that build not being nerfed? i dont think that build was popular and its being nerfed MOST than any other build

Did I include RF in my post? Don't think I did, and that is because I really don't have the sufficent knowledge about the build mechanics.

I agree that at first glance the patch might indeed harm the build, but will it make it unuasable? I can't say, nor can you before wednesday.

Funny how everybody talks about the incoming melee buffs - haha, all we've heard is that phys damage gets a buff, no word on armour, on the other hand massive nerfs to life, granites, resistances, enduring charges, elemental adaptation and so on.
I just hope GGG made their calculations right.

This.

To be honest i like these patch notes but i thought the melee buffs were meant to be mainly on the survivality, i'm melee and all my resist/max resists nodes are getting nerfed along with my 7 endurance charges. This patch is a nerf to melee survival and a buff to melee's damage, at least its how i see it.

This patch is a buff to melee survival because of how the armor formula works. yes GGG hasn't specifically stated armor is getting a direct buff. But it doesn't have to. Because it is getting an indirect buff. Armor is relative to damage taken, so monsters do less damage then armor is more useful.

from a pvp standpoint, you need to think about what this is gonna do to the crit shadows who already flood pvp, armor is basicly worthless against anyone who has high crit multiplier/crit chance so that means with the life nerf these people will still be penetrating all your armor + they get a MASSIVE dmg boost from increased crit nodes and basicly all the dagger nodes give good physical dmg, basicly what this means is crit melee builds(mainly shadow/witch) are gonna dominate pvp in merciless until GGG realizes that they do to much dmg and will be 1 hitting anyone who doesnt have a koams or doesnt have at least 5k hp without it(and with the nerf that will be even harder than it is now)

coming from an experienced pvper and knowing the potential of an end game puncture crit build, that skill will probably be the go to move for any dagger build. all they will have to do is crit you once and run away. and the likelyhood of those builds being CI is pretty high, so that means if you cant kill them before they crit puncture you your chances of winning just went down the drain........

They can actually, unless GGG add in new max resist nodes or regen nodes / change RF / Add reduced burn damage taken nodes, they won't be able to sustain it.

Ele rings can have up to 70 light dmg etc

Phys rings only 15 max.

I expected they will change iron rings mods 1-4 to highest..

increased % phys dmg doesnt work that well if u have more than 100% already

I've played the build so I can say. Even losing 1 resist in fire makes it unusable. We lost 3 just from Elemental Adaptation so the build is officially dead.
Lost resist from, ele adaption, purity with innner force, lost regen from vitality from inner force, Made me pretty useless. Not looking forward to leveling another charactor to 92.....

As a 56K DPS flicker strike crit shodow(lv84),i can tell u that i get owned way too much for u to worry about it.1)hopeless against blockers2)extremely vulnerable to elemental status effects and stun.yeah there are uniques to counter these but u sacrifice alot.Plus a hard hitting marauder with heavy strike doesnt let u attack at all with the knowckback.3)bear traps4)cant use potions5)All in all if u dont crit and istant kill your opponent u are as good as dead by an expirienced PvPer

PS:not to mention molten shell

They only just added the increased burning damage gem that gave that specific playstyle a huge damage boost. Have people really been making use of that build since that gem was even available?

If u use RF build supported by INCREASE BURNING DAMAGE support gem it will also increase the damage u take from RF.... means u need more life regen and life to sustain RF

Well, they could probably change that, if RF burn aura for your main DPS is indeed a build that people want to make but is being stifled.

As for RF users concerns over the EA nerf, I'm not strictly for or against it. I can understand making EA less of a super necessary node, but GGG should probably add other ways to gain max resist and fast. Possibly as an affix on jewelry or through more nodes.

Great job GGG! Keep it up!
To the guys that already cry, use your brain a bit better. 90% of those "Nerfs" you see ,are not nerfs. They are just adjustements to keep the difficulty the same while boosting armor effectiveness.
They know what they are doing. Also this is not blizzard where a "broken" change remains for months until they fix it. If something goes wrong and not as expected, the will simply change it in some days. Not months.

armor... again another retard that only play phy damage char what boosting armor effectiveness when u already nerf ES and health u talking like this because u use armor what about witch who use pure int armor and ES is 1 of element that make them survive.. + they also nerf your damage at the same time also they nerf the meat shield that summoner type use not to mention the unfairness of certain stat and skill that only can be use by phy damage type player such as life gain on hit and x% phy damage convert to mana or life... seriously the more they patch in the name of balancing the more it become unbalance and unfair to certain class and for those retard who will flame me read my 1st post i clearly say i have witch and i have maraunder so yeah unlike many player who only play phy damage type i play both so my opinion here is base on experience not like most of u who only care about the class your r playing and only QQ when the class u play got nerf with all this patch u can bet witch will be less and less played from now on that might include me who might playing my maraunder more then witch from now on
