Like alot of you guys I have worries about the new balancing..I am a fp shadow that didnt put any stock into damage medes till i was lvl 74 so even though i have good survive ability my damage is very weak .the only thing fp has going for it is the chance to freeze...
on a lighter note the spark witch i play with will not be so overpowering ...and my 2nd main fire trap will finally produce the loot i should have been getting all along.

In early march i exiled my physical duelist for the shadow...but now reinvesting in his gear getting ready for the new patch..funny i hadnt even respected the last duelist respec all the way..lol

Yes! As a CI melee-turned-power siphon I'm absolutely thrilled by this patch and consider blowing some dust off my claw and start wreaking havoc I wanted to wreak before the patch but couldn't because physical damage sucked!

With buffs to crit and melee damage it will finally be viable to play as a melee for me, less monster damage = less stuns (might even drop chayula for dps amulet!), less freezes and shocks. Less es should easily be offset by less monster damage, and melee buffs will FINALLY make it possible to go melee with TONS of leech from phys damage, for a very high-risk high-reward high-tempo gameplay which melee should always be!

To be honest i like these patch notes but i thought the melee buffs were meant to be mainly on the survivality, i'm melee and all my resist/max resists nodes are getting nerfed along with my 7 endurance charges. This patch is a nerf to melee survival and a buff to melee's damage, at least its how i see it.


This patch is a buff to melee survival because of how the armor formula works. yes GGG hasn't specifically stated armor is getting a direct buff. But it doesn't have to. Because it is getting an indirect buff. Armor is relative to damage taken, so monsters do less damage then armor is more useful.
I used to play Diablo 3, then I realized it doesn't have a Shabby Jerkin.
