The people complaining about crafting really need to touch some grass. Cause like... Bro that was broken and you know it. Just cause u sat down and spent like months learning crafting dont mean the other 95% of the playerbase did.

Oh no someone knows how to play the game better than you cause they learned what the items do. Better nerf them so that you can feel better about the rare bow you just picked up off the ground.

And people in the comments are celebrating this and saying "finally group play is dead"

Only one who says it's dead is you lmao.
No one prohibiting you from playing with your friend.

- Completion of fixed locations on the Atlas is now shared with party members.
- In party-play, you can now quickly revive any fallen party members after defeating the Boss.

Some QoL for party playing added. That definitely kills party play, you're right.

Modifiers will not stack only if they are modifiers of SAME type, forcing you and your "friend" (if he exists) use different skills and feel the real impact of that. Isn't this that "feeling of contribution" you were talking about? Synergy of builds, etc?

But you prefer to ignore that and just whine about the fact that obvious abuse had been fixed. Cry more, that's hilarious.
sounds like you are one of the people who hate rarity bots . you do know gutting rarity bot isnt gonna change the economy right . they buffed drop rates of divines and increased changes to each content. the fact they gutted rarity bot means they sufficed into listening into a bunch of little kids crying about not getting enough divines.

Well, if this doesn't affect anything, then it's not clear why people are complaining that group play is dead. What's wrong with your logic?

You simply don't have auras or so many items in the game that every member of the team can contribute to. They removed the only thing that strengthened the team, without giving anything in return. Yes, you can still give 3 scepters to team members and get various bonuses that can be distributed with a scepter, but at the same time the rings were completely taken away. And in fact, there are only bonuses left from three scepters, one or two rings, and that's it. What kind of build synergy can we talk about here? You literally have nothing that would allow you to improve your allies.
It's funny to read the RMTShers' cries in the comments. They all love playing with "friends," but only when their friends have 500 rarity; otherwise, they're not interested.

If rarity bots affect drops, they affect the economy. We can argue how much, but the effect is there.

Do you really think that Empyrian farming for a week straight in a 6-group party has no impact on the economy? They are literally crashing markets when they start crafting crazy shit.
Even those of us that don't RMT still want to have someone in the group that can buff drop rates for everyone. It's how we were able to supply our builds last season in Temple. Much less the factor that it's basically one item they cucked us on changing (Gravebinds).

But to sit here and put it into the factor that its RMTers that are crying about rarity, its not just them dude. It's also those of us who enjoy playing a support role to increase loot that gets dropped in game.
Not normally one to post on forums or speak publicly about my opinions but I feel this needs to be said....

First and foremost this is the most content I've ever had to comprehend and it's truly a gift to see the progression this game has taken. The changes to endgame have been more then expected to be delivered on. The anticipation of the reveal for this league between me and my group was the highest it has ever been for any game we have played.

However, after reading these patch notes, I can't say I'm excited to play. Most of the character power nerfs I understood, and agreed needed to balance out. I was honestly excited to see this patch through and felt good about poe 2 going into full release.

What I fail to understand is this "anti-fun" feeling pointed towards playing with friends. Now before anyone quotes this saying its overreacting or not understanding let me be frank, party play in poe2 has consistently been pushed down. In 0.4 there was hardly an appeal to playing in party's that didn't involve any solo setup. Now there is absolutely no benefit now to playing with friends in a party whatsoever. Party play has never influenced the game more then solo play, and has always been inferior to solo farming.

I've always praised GGG for their dedication to players, but with poe 2, it feels like any fun found in this game is ripped away like a kid who just found the hidden piece of candy....

This.

I ran rarity support with a couple buddies, we had a blast doing it. Now I have a guild that HAD members who were looking forward to being support because it was a another way to enjoy playing together and doing something different outside of just damage.

I get RMT is an issue and I agree it needs to be dealt with but this all blew up because temple was broken and the devs already said it was broken but would have caused more frustration if they implemented the patch to stop the snake strategy and decided to just let it happen. Party and rarity wasn't an issue until temple which has been fixed.

What's next after they remove party bonus if that keeps being pushed, when will the line be drawn?
