The idea was great, but unfortunately was 100% scripted without any real physics behind it and this is not how it should be done as a working combat feature. I've told you before that the VISION(TM) is lond dead. 0.5 as I predicted will be THE FINAL POINT that going to shape the future of this game. And 0.3 and 0.4 was a glimpse of that future. Which is fine for me.
However the final conclusion is - the game is no more new player friendly and maybe it's wasn't even before but it just more clear now. I was afraid that they will introduce more bloat to the game and it ended up exactly that. Even tho I have crapton of time played the game, after this announcement I am feeling a bit of anxiety from how overwhelming the new changes was. I believe they add unnecessary amount of complexity that might lead us to a certain conclusion that we need to spend more time now and jump too many hoops to achieve the same goals as before. It feels weird, but that just only me. Anyway. VISION is dead, meaningful combat was your imagination. Accept the game as it is now or else. Now I need the patch notes to see the full picture. Rarity from gear still have not been removed btw. We've known that POE2 has had an identity crisis and now, in my opinion, I think we're seeing that it has a vision crisis as well in regards to the project as a whole.
Prioritizing more ways to RNG loot? These resources could have been better spent on offering an 0.1 patch league for people who wanted the original vision of POE2 or adding another class, adding swords, or focusing on adding dynamic systems such as dynamic storyline, dynamic atmosphere (light radius actually means something), dynamic combat, dynamic weather effects (basically anything OTHER than more "dynamic" time sinks to generate loot). I can't recall a single thread asking GGG to create more ways to sink time into generating items although I'm sure someone will correct me on this. I just can't remember one and/or it being a hot enough topic to attract posts. There once was a dream that was POE2. |

" If he really thinks that way then they have completely lost the plot and deserve what's incoming. The same thing happened to starwars after Lucas left. Chris left and this game, it's happening again I guess. He left with the soul of the game if what you are saying is true. Only a very small fringe part of the community would actually want rarity on gear to be removed. This would be peak out of touch if the game studio agreed and removed it. I wouldn't even be mad, I'd probably be very disgusted, repulsed to the point I might vomit in real life but I would move on very quickly instantly from a cursed brand. |

Speed is still staying nerfed, and we havent even seen the patch notes for all the nerfs that are to come.
CoC in the interview is getting hammered So all the things the massive speed crowd has been asking for is going in the reverse direction and staying that way. Im satisfied so far. Mash the clean

It's funny, the POE - 1 players who hate infinite atlas / janky combo gameplay and the new poe-2 players who wanted a souls-like gameplay are both equally upset.
And insult to injury, we got no swords, so melee is still pretty much +500 sec attack time maces. |
