Skip Acts function for the second and subsequent characters in the league
|
very good replies i have seen and actaluy i want to thank you
what i see on these, they are concerned about whaf if skip scneiro and i agree them %100. yes, i understand these concerns and i agree with you aswell but what if scnerio is not our problem, its GGG problem that they should solve. otherwise, as your concerns, i would call it 'to fuk up the system' which i dont want, i would prefer to current system goes on instead any fuk up. |

Trying out endgame builds is precisely what some of us want.
Just because you don't want that, it doesn't mean "we" don't want it. There is no universal "we" here. Sure, there are plenty of third-party tools. I know they exist. But planning a build in a tool is not the same as actually playing it. A planner does not tell me how the build feels, how it handles bosses, how smooth the rotation is, how annoying the mana sustain is, or whether the whole thing falls apart the moment a rare monster looks at me funny. Also, PoE2 is not exactly a classless ARPG. If I want to properly try different builds across different classes and ascendancies, I need separate characters. That means repeating the campaign again and again before I can even test the thing I wanted to test. And yes, endgame builds are interesting. Very interesting, actually. Around level 90+ you can wear basically all gear, use all relevant skills, and properly see what a build is supposed to do. Apart from the missing passive points, that is where the character finally starts to resemble the build idea. So no, using Maxroll or another planner does not solve this problem. It helps with theorycrafting. It does not replace actually playing the build. |

I much prefer they tweak the campaign to be more fluid an keep the momentum for returning players. That it has less pain points, less of those backtracking confusing moments where you need to talk to certain npc or visit a specific point to click a certain object, to progress. Tune down certain lenthy maps and make more of the story beats optional stuff to opt into for a new player instead.

You need one character per base class, that's it.
You're just too lazy to bother with levelling your characters. That's the only argument I see here. Too lazy to play the game, just want to skip to the end... |

" Yes, I agree. They need to make the quests much clearer. I often find myself having to go back to get some quest/buff I missed. This should really be obvious in the campaign. Hiding them behind grey icons on grey background is not helping... |

" Let's keep it that way! |

You can call it whatever you want, but I still have not seen a useful counter-argument from you in this thread.
So either make the argument, or step out of this "game" for a moment. Being lazy has nothing to do with it. Valuing your time is not laziness. It is one of the most useful things a person can learn. Just because you are fine spending that time on the same repeated campaign route does not mean everyone else should be forced to value it the same way. Doing the same campaign again and again, on every character, is not automatically meaningful gameplay just because it takes time. Sometimes it is just repetition with a quest marker attached. For example, why not something like this. Once you finish the campaign with a class, you can skip or heavily accelerate the campaign for that same class in that league. Would that still be unacceptable? If yes, then why? Because at that point the "learning the class" argument is basically gone. I am still in favor of a proper solution after the campaign has been completed at least once. Either a full campaign skip, or an alternative leveling route, or at minimum some kind of boost item like instant levels, increased XP gain, or another account-bound option. It does not need to be free power. It does not need to break trade. It just needs to respect that not everyone wants to pay the same fun tax every time they want to try another character. " |

You "i want to skip" guys had let's see... 1.5 year to build your character? Play std, don't "replay" acts on league starts.
What is that with "skip" gameplay thing after all? You will have 4 whole months to build your character on every league. Ahh, you "value" your time, so it's not laziness, cool, sure, i see, i see... With that mindset you are most likely the guys, who cheat in single player games, like giving some items or xp to your characters. But yep, solution as i said: play permanent leagues, don't start over. |
