Skip Acts function for the second and subsequent characters in the league

I see a lot of people arguing against this suggestion because it could affect league speedrunning, league economy, or early league competition.

Fair enough. Then don't enable it in leagues.

Make it available in Standard instead.

If the main concern is advantage in a fresh league, Standard is the obvious place to test it. No league race. No fresh economy panic. No day one abuse argument. Just players using their existing accounts and items to try new builds without running the same campaign again.

It would also give GGG real data on whether people actually use it, whether it helps alt creation, and whether it creates any real problems outside of forum theorycrafting.

PS: This is not a discussion about Standard being trash, dead, irrelevant, or whatever else. That is a different topic. Keep that part to yourself.

Easy solution for league: Just enable it after 7 days within the season. At that point, the race is already over and people have good gear and currency. People who want a streamlined experienced and don't want to repeat the campaign over and over again will patiently wait 7 days.

Yeah that might be a good way to implement the thing without hurting economy. The economy will hurt itself anyway thru the league lifespan more or less it's just matter of time. It's always been like this. 0.4 situation was dangerous but who knows about 0.5? There is so much new stuff ppl might find something insane to "abuse" and down we go xD

I agree
+1
Pushes people away? The game has 500,000 players at the end of each league just on Steam alone.

The campaign should stay and should even be buffed to be harder, imo.
Ahhh great! Yes I agree.

The problem I see is not only the length of the campaign but the paste of the on-rails progression in campaign. It just takes took long to unlock high enough character level to use skills, items etc.

Also in campaign there is literally no loot whatsoever. In the current form it feels more like a 15h tutorial to me.

What about heavily increasing the difficulty of the campaign along side higher drop chances for loot and some kind of character level boost every time we do it after first playthrough?

As an optional difficuly selector, yes. Maybe. Buffing the difficulty of the current campaign, no. Barely anyone wanna grinding their way out of this boring and long campaign. We already have many people been filtered during 0.1,0.2 days.

So the community has been asking this for 10 years and our prayers ahve been answered.

They are streamlining the campaign in 0.5 with ravens flying in the correct direction of the next Pointofinterest and footprints on the ground to guide the way.

I think thats a solid progress in the right direction.
Not sure how it would impact poe2 but i did only play 1 ARPG that has campaign skip, which was diablo 4 and the campaign skip with monster scsling is 1 reason why that game is so bad.

If they ever do some kind of campaign skip, hopefully leveling that character with alternative leveling route takes at least as long as leveling by playing the campaign, then i could see it happening
D4 had to implement campaign skip because half their campaign is you riding a horse across the "open world"
