Skip Acts function for the second and subsequent characters in the league
" I'm assuming both of these are directed at me so I'll answer both (if not, I would answer for Soulsniper and say he does NOT like playing the campaign every single league... or at all LOL). Love the passion guys. You're making me tear up with joy because we're seemingly on the same wavelength. I started playing POE2 for the first time in March and played about 2 weeks before I realized: I really do not like playing the game. Now, I'm on a quest to help our beloved GGG truly make the next gen-ARPG. I've been pretty vocal and as people who've read my posts in the past eye's glaze over, I have no problem selling the grand idea that really, in my humble opinion, is a true "win-win". WITNESS! I'm in favor of a skip option with end game rewards / changes for people who play through campaign. Not saying that the rewards are balanced below but SOME penalty to be applied (not necessarily even a major penalty) for campaign skippers: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3927001 ![]() I also believe that what Latrynka explained in his "Feel of the Game after 600H" post is relevant to the current state NOT being an "Next Gen ARPG". It's static, unchanging, and there is little reason to care about the campaign (end game doesn't seem to be well received either in its current state). I'm a big believer in making the entire journey interesting and not cutting out vast portions of the game because it's not fun. IMO: A game shouldn't be "fun" because now I have the best items in the game killing the biggest monsters. i.e. - Killing the small spider with a spiked club at level 2 is boring. Killing the gigantic angry golden spider with my bone-handled headcrusher is so much more fun. Why? Because I have the best item killing the biggest monster getting the best currency and that's the way I like to play the game. And to think...all the "power gamers" are in POE1 LOL. Now, I do understand repetition (obviously, I'm in favor of a skip option), however that's the bandaid. The REAL solution is below: ![]() Last edited by 600lbpanther#3839 on Apr 23, 2026, 3:40:57 PM

Nice post, but I disagree with one thing. I don't want to be punished for skipping the campaign. I see the campaign as one way to reach the endgame.
I'd like a second option, a mapping course for newbies or something similar. Some kind of activity that's not boring and will help me reach level 65. |

No one provided a good argument why we shouldn't get campaign skip or alternative leveling method.

We are hardly a year into the game and campaign is already a long boring chore. Once per league is fine but needing to repeat the entire thing on alts is just nonsense. This problem is just going to get worse and worse over time especially with the remaining acts adding length to its already long shaft. Campaign is neat and all but it's not even close to worthy of repeating more than once every four... or three.... or two months. |

The remaining acts arent adding any length overall to the campaign. The interlude acts will get removed and the overall length will stay about the same.

"Thanks! The idea of an alternate activity option for alt-characters that is engaging is fascinating. Understanding Mr. Jonathan Rogers views the campaign as a tutorial, I have a preliminary idea in how to honor this viewpoint while honoring the request to skip the campaign. I've been working on it for a bit and I'll post the idea in a new thread. |

Forcing players to replay the campaign every time they create a new character is kind of stupid.
It should be the player's choice. I really like how Guild Wars 2 handles this. It gives players specific leveling items from things like birthdays or events, and then the player decides what to do with them. Use them and speed things up, or ignore them and level normally. Revolutionary technology, I know. And since level 80 is max in GW2, the boosters are not always just "instant max level". There are different versions, like boosts to level 30, 50, and so on. There is also a level 80 boost, but that is much rarer. Maybe PoE2 could do something similar. When you finish the campaign once in a league, give the account an account-bound +level consumable for alt characters. Not tradeable. Not farmable. Not some economy-breaking loot piñata. Just a way to reduce the repeated slog. For me, when I create a new character and want to rush to endgame, I already don't "enjoy the campaign". I pick the most broken leveling setup I can find, buy upgrades from the market every few levels, and bulldoze through everything like a sleep-deprived delivery driver on his last shift. Then I respec in endgame into the build I actually wanted to play. So maybe a leveling booster is enough. It doesn't have to be a full campaign skip. Just make the repeated playthrough fast and easy enough that it doesn't feel like paying a fun tax before being allowed to play the build. Why force the same idiotic grind on players who have already done it before? Why not let them enjoy the game instead? PS: Being hostile and telling people to go play another game leaves no room for conversation. Don't do that. It's childish. |

alot of us will stop playing if u implement some of this skip nonsence.

" A lot of ppl already dropped the game during 0.1 anyway because of the boring slog of the first act. I don't really understand your position here. Your campaign is not going anywhere.
