Tired of patches that are destroying the fun of the game

You are blowing your experience way out of proportion. Some people finish that many challenges in one sitting, and they talk smaller game. While I can sympathise with some of your grievances, given your non-existing level of engagement, may I call into question why you think anyone should listen to you?

I play games the way I want to play them but I quess you love those checkboxes way more than I do. All power to you but I was never the person that was chasing some achievements in games. Again my expirience might be different from yours but that doesnt mean that I know nothing about this game. Sure if I was talking about Atziri or Maven than I would be fool because I have never defeated them and it was never my goal to begin with. I have enjoyed experimenting with different gems and builds thats what I have enjoyed and thats why I have seen a lot of balance problems with this game across multiple years.

Look dude, it's simple. You made an appeal to authority by postulating you have been playing the game for 10 years, and I used available evidence to show that when put into perspective, it doesn't surmount to much. Those things I listed are basic "checkboxes" any half-competent player completes.

You don't have to complete your Atlas but the fact that you didn't but claim your opinion on endgame balance should be heard, is telling. That's all I said.

@xaerobb: Are you trying to make a point that no one should be criticised for making easily disprovable claims? It is only 'personal' insofar someone made a claim, and I dismantled it. Now, can we stay civil?

You cannot be here on this website without being "civil" because those mods will delete any comment and post that is not deemed "civil" so I quess I was civil. As far for my experience goes I have no Idea what this game tracks and what it doesnt track. I have no idea if you can see my playtime in every league even 10+ years ago. For those checkmarks as you said that half competant player completes all of them I have to dissapoint you that with my 3K hours I have no idea where can you even see those challenges in game. I quess in your books I am not competant player and that fine you want to hate on me because I dont have challenges completed. Hate as much as you want too. From my side I have much more important things going on in my life than worry about you or anybody else on this post that is just trying to dismantle somebody that is pointing out simple one flaw of the game and that is balance.

Me too :D Imagine 3K+ hours 3/4 voidstones almost all bosses completed accept Maven and Atziri and that makes me not aligible to speak about game balance even though my main focus was farming maps T16/T17 and experimenting with different builds.

Keep it up. One day you will get that 4th voidstone and progress to t17s. May take some time tho…

Well, you complain about the fun factor, but you've never pushed the limits of this game. Maybe you enjoy it in standard mode, but in leagues, it's normal for builds to get destroyed; that's even what allowed PoE to succeed.

Because Standard League is no basis for balance. You only play Standard, so what clue would you have about temporary balance, economy or anything related not to perma league that is more relevant in temp leagues? The whole game is built around temp leagues. The perma league is definitely not what makes up the core game. GGG doesn't balance around Standard and its economy or legacy items.

You seem to be primarily a Minions player, so I'm not even sure what you are whining about. They've only gotten easier for quite some time now. Every single character on your profile right now is a meta Ascendancy.

The endgame meta strats that were nerfed this patch don't affect you, either. They have no influence on the already warped and broken Standard economy. So, aside from that, which part of the patch notes nuked your builds? My favorite build was nerfed and nerfed again several patches in a row and I whined about it, but I had reason to, yet I can't understand what you are even mad about?

What were you playing that is now destroyed and unfun? I don't see it.

So you just going to ignore how its been said that I have played leagues and just say stuff like I only play standard? Also a player is not allowed to delete characters? Those builds that you can see are those builds that somewhat survived all the patches and I wanted to make them better and min.max those builds. Hey at this point make anything about me and I will laugh as much as I can because this thing is more entertaining than watching TV :D

Well, even if they are standard players, they are still affected by the endgame changes because they have the same core game as temporary leagues, just without the league-specific content.

In this case, they are also playing the relatively weak state of the core game, since playing standard does not automatically bring back farming strategies or the original content difficulty. Even if during your two years of playing the game across a few leagues you have never touched standard, it still plays much the same as league play aside from the economy and temporary league content.

Even if standard is mostly dead, there are still players who play it from time to time when a league does not look fun enough but they still want to play Path of Exile, or people who simply do not want to bother with the constant resets. That does not change the fact that they are also experiencing the same core game as we do during a fresh league. You engage with the content you are interested in, which can be very high-reward even in standard, and with most strategies that involve high difficulty being gutted, it is fair to say that even standard players can voice their concerns about this.
