Please.... Stop listening to streamers.
" No, the Streamers are asking for IIR to be removed from affecting Currency drops,, not for its total removal or removal of the Soft Cap. The current implementation is similar to the implementation in Diablo 2. In Diablo 2 "Magic Find" affected all drops, but as the only currency was gold that was used to buy gear or to gamble, it was nowehere near as impactful as IIR impacting currency in PoE2. I hope so, after 400 hours. |

" That would still be a dreadful move by GGG and I will do everything in my power and speak against it whenever I can. They could implement it differently for pinnacles and abysses in order having other rarity juicing affecting areas. But changing it so it dosen't affect currency would be a massive blunder/disaster. People would yell constantly in the forums vastly more than now that drops would be utter garbage. If on the other hand they make these drops too readily available without the gear, then this becomes a failed/dead game like D3/D4. Rarity is a mod you have to work your way with to min max your gear and I like having to deal with this puzzle deciding which piece of gear I cut power to have rarity on it. There are a lot of silent ppl not coming in the forums because they are not angry. Remove IIR on gear or make it void on currency scaling drop and you will see hostile comments on a level which you've never seen on this forums before. " I've had 300% rarity with max resist. What you are saying is just patently false. |

" This is what we call 'projection' and exactly why GGG shouldn't be listening to streamers. THEY are the ones who HAVE to have the most broken META defining builds because if they don't they won't get as many views and hence as much money. Rarity is not mandatory, certain skills are not mandatory, certain classes are not mandatory but they know if they run a below average build with bland skills that aren't flashy and aren't dropping dopamine items all over the screen the viewers will watch someone else play. That's it. Then what happens is they complain about something to several thousand people and a percentage of those people parrot the opinion as if it was actually the problem to begin with. Then GGG caters to the complaining masses and boom we get something like 0.3.1 which by by the numbers is showing us people are dropping the game faster than usual at this point in a league. |

Yeah i dont know myself. I dont know because i never played any game with that type of mechanic.
Every game i played, the best drops, the best items, the best materials, whatever BIS, you had to beat the hardest content in the game to get them. Like in MMOS beat the hardest bosses, in survival games beat the most difficult POIs in the game. So you had to work on your character to be the strongest possible and have the skills to beat that content and get access to thoose drops. I assumed it was the same here when i started playing. So it's hard for me to compare or to know what is a good magic find system cause i have never been confronted to it. I learned what it was here basicly. For me it's whatever tbh, i get what i need in the game to keep progressing. IIR i have on my gear are for me a "failed" roll that i keep because the rest of the mods on the item are good. Depend why you play also, some people like to play for the drops and are gonna go for thoose mods, some like me just play to kill mobs or bosses and gonna go for resistance or DPS mods. Also i have no advice on thoose content creator i'm not really someone watching much videos because i'm tired of them flashy/exagerated title to start with so i never click to watch =) SSF player

" Not true, in diablo 2 runes were main currency and they were absolutely not affected by magic find. |

The game ist currently in Beta state and we're more or less "Beta tester".
They should listen to every single person who give constructive feedback in first place. Why shouldn't they listen to people who already have 100ts or even 1000s of hours in the game, as long as theyr feedback is constructive? Why should they listen to you here with maybe 100 hours in the game, no constructive feedback in the whole thread and just ranting about the "evil streamers"? ;) You didn't even point out why exactly they shouldn't listen to them. Shouldn't they listen to theyr bug reports? Shouldn't they listen to theyr balance reports? Shouldn't they listen to theyr QOL reports? Shouldn't they listen to theyr endgame feedback reports? Shouldn't they listen to theyr campaign reports. Shouldn't they listen to theyr map/interface/skill design reports? On which of these points do they should not listen to them in your oppinion?...in all of them? Are YOU gonna test every single Spectre in the game f.e. as some Streamer do and report GGG buggy & bad interactions? Are you gonna test every single Skill + Passive combination as they do and report GGG the broken & underwhelming ones? Just 2 examples of 1000s that those Stramer test every day....are YOU gonna test all interactions in the game if GGG is not allowed to listen to Streamers in your oppinion? Why exactly should they listen to YOU who only complains here in the forum about a certain playerbase and offer no game related feedback instead of listening to people who play the game 12+ hours per day, test every single interaction the game has to offer and give constructive feedback frequently? " I have over 2k hours logged and played since day 1. If I stopped playing because 1 single update made the game no longer enjoyable, there's a problem on GGGs end. The game is NOT in beta. Most streamers and most people AREN'T giving constructive feedback. They should only be listening to people who have at least 100 hours into the game because otherwise they wouldn't have any real idea what they're talking about (now go filter recent Steam reviews and look at how the negative ones are players with 100s of hours) Obviously they should work on the state of the game's performance, literally not one person has said otherwise. Streamers don't do thousands of tests every day, there's not even thousands of tests that can be done on this game. Obviously some skills are going to out perform others because math. |
