| Dude, what the hell are you on about? +Skill gem levels are cancerous to this game in their current iteration. Most skills scale logarithmically, not linearly. Meaning you objectively get so much more power from scaling skill levels over any other way, and it's not even close. I don't think toning them down is the answer I'm for removing them entirely, but whatever anyone thinks at least be honest about them and how they're affecting the game. |

| Still think this needs to be done in Patch 0.4.0. |

That's definitely the nuclear option and GGG could do that at some point, but think they should atleast tone them down as a first pass and see the results. Last edited by CharlesJT#7681 on Oct 25, 2025, 11:23:46 AM |

* 2H-Mace, Crossbow, Staff, QStaff: Decrease to +5 Max Gem Levels (down from +7)
* 1H-Mace, Bow, Wand: Decrease to +3 Max Gem Levels (down from +5)
* Amulet: Decrease to +2 Max Gem Levels (down from +3)
* Quiver: Decrease to +1 Max Gem Levels (down from +2)
* Gloves: Decrease to +1 Max Gem Levels (down from +2)

If you're going to significantly reduce the top end rolls, I'd suggest to also allow weapons to rolls more than one affix of +Gem lvl. This way the fun aspect of this mod won't be completely diminished. |

Just remove +skills from items entirely and keep it on uniques only. +5 on a single item is broken af. |

I think there should be a balance between broken AF and watering down. Keep high rolls like +5 on uniques but also allow lower rolls on other items with the ability to roll more than once. For example, an item that used to roll +5, now it can roll +2 but twice. So it's both a lower max roll AND an additional layer of RNG on top. Wouldn't that be fairly balanced? |

If you have +skills in the game then everyone will be hunting it no matter how many layers of RNG you use. No mods should be mandatory for every build imo. Last edited by Sakanabi#6664 on Oct 25, 2025, 1:18:18 PM |
