Petition to abandon T17

OP here, to all the people acting like it's about difficulty: I explicitly said it's the design and philosophy that make them unfun. The bosses are hard the first 3-4 times until you get the strat and it's GG.

To all the people that act like I can just skip them: I can't. I have to run t17 if I want to run uber ubers. Locking them behind these maps makes the ultra late game unfun, I like to farm my own stuff but having to run the worst maps of the game to get to the content I like is just annoying and kills the ultra late game for me.

not the point. It's a forced shift so people HAVE to run that shit. Bring back uber uber frags from ubers and I will never touch or complain about t17s again.

I personally didn't bother much with T17s this league, as doing T16,5 in map of my choosing (with div cards of my choosing) was far more appealing, and T17s layouts are not my jam.

The ability to change the layout of T17 by lets say the dark seer is not a bad idea. Just have a portal to the T17 boss instead the normal one and done.

And you'd strongly be wrong about that. People don't run t17s just for the fragments. That's a "you" thing.

Uber Elder frags are gated behind Elder and Shaper
Uber Atziri frags are gated behind regular atziri (sort of, not the greatest example)
Aul is gated behind delving

etc.

Bossing being gated behind other content you may not want to run otherwise isn't anything new.

Hell....the items themselves that drop from uber bosses are, you guessed it, gated behind those uber bosses. So the people that want those items, but hate the bosses, either have to beat the bosses themselves (do content they don't want to do) or trade. Same choice as you.


I said Atziri wasn't a great example because div cards exist, and you can (rarely) see them in ritual. The highest likely thing to happen in the near future is that we get div cards which reward certain uber frags. Maybe you would rather farm extremely rare cards instead of a guaranteed source, but I certainly wouldn't. And in the process of completing a t17 map to get those fragments....all your normal farming strategies get super-juiced at the same time.

Skip what you don't like. This seems very simple to me.

I don't like T-17. I don't run them. But I don't think they should be removed simply because I don't enjoy the. My rational is, some folks do enjoy the challenge or the mechanics, and my personal preferences should not be taking something away from them - especially when it's optional content.

T17s are fine as a concept but they definitely need more variety in layouts.

We have five maps, but ALL FIVE OF THEM are the same cramped corridor thing, where many league mechanics don't work very well. And we're stuck with these terrible layouts since 3.24 league which came out in 03.2024. Sixteen months ago.

We need a wide-open layout to accomodate Breach, Legion, Expedition etc.

We need a linear layout like Minotaur map to accomodate for Destructive Play

We need option to Maven witness them and fight them as better version of bossrush (nobody farms classic 10-way, it's just not rewarding enough)



T16.5 maps proven that the mods aren't the main issue. Layouts are. If you have a good layout and T17 mods (together with their rewards) - then it's a much better farming experience.
Signed, I'm SO tired of dealing with these fun killing mods. Volatile cores just 1 shot you because for some reason they count as a monster and inherit map modifiers. Remove 5% health mana and es on hit is so incredibly stupid for multi hits, it just 1 taps you. The big white rings stay there forever and god forbid you go back to loot your map after completing it and get deleted. You can't see the searing exarch runes on the ground. % based reduced defenses scaling to 50% or more with aura effect scaling to 90% or more. Like come on man, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that these just SUCK. I get that you want players to die and improve their build but my god can we please do it in a less cancer inducing way?
I am confused when people get upset of optional content.

It seems to me most of these complaints were addressed with T16.5?
