Petition to abandon T17

Good builds barely notice most mods. Bad builds have to reroll more.

As something that presents itself as game with deep character customization that's sounds awful.

Higher-ceiling difficulty? That's a good one. You mean rolling reflect from Risk Scarab and insta death, that's your "higher-ceiling difficulty"?
It's easy game if you want to be easy. Stop pretending that this grind fest require some skill.

If you don't like them, sell them to people who do like running them. It's what I do.

The beauty of PoE is you can completely customize your play experience to your preferred playstyle.

It’s really not that awful. The game gives you so many ways to customize your character that most map mods can be trivialized entirely. If you’re hitting a wall, it usually means you're not fully using the tools available or your build just isn’t optimized yet. Expecting to fly through everything with a hastily thrown-together setup isn’t realistic — that’s not a fault of T17, that’s on the player.

Sure, some mod combos can be problematic for specific builds, but a single mod or two isn’t going to force constant map rerolls. And if you’re using Risk Scarabs or other gamble mechanics that throw in random mods, you’re knowingly signing up for that chance. If it backfires and you hit a build-breaking mod, that’s part of the risk you chose to take.

You sound like only you can handle this content and T17 are not three leagues in already. I am not really sure why you explain all of this.

not only do I agree with OP, but the severity of the t17 mods combined with the power of mod-effect-increasing passives means that the number of builds that can run juiced t17 is so low that they actively reduce build variety.

I’m not sure where this idea is coming from that I’m the only one able to farm the maps. But looking at your take that T17 map mods are bad, risk scarabs are a problem, and mods kill build diversity it honestly just highlights why it’s worth reminding people these aren’t actual issues.

Like you said, they’ve been around for a few leagues and even got nerfed. The problem isn’t the mods, it’s players treating basic mechanics like a wall. Whether it’s running unoptimized builds and being surprised that constant rerolling becomes mandatory due to holes in the setup, stacking risk scarabs and acting shocked when it bricks the map because of a mod the build can’t handle (almost like the game clearly labels them as “risk” for a reason), or just not adapting to layouts, none of that’s on the game.

If someone’s still struggling with mods, basic decision making, or even knowing the layouts by now… that’s not on the game.

Like the other user already suggested, if T17s are really that much of a wall, just sell them and run content more to your liking. If it’s just about disliking the layouts, go blast T16s or the new memory maps instead. What’s even the point of blaming T17s when the actual issue is just… simple decision making in a game that literally lets you play your own fully customized adventure? Lol.

And I am providing feedback and suggestions.
The real issue is barrels, those need deleted because its basically at a point where only Fortress is used in every strat. Either remove them from fortress or add them to all T17 maps. Its just become another crimson prison for end game strats.
+1, I never run T17, layout is annoying, mods are annoying. Just make them unique and make every map possible to become T17.
