Petition to abandon T17
" Do you not realize that ALMOST ALL map bosses are "copy-pasted" from enemies in the campaign? At least the T17 versions have new mechanics from their base incarnations. |

" Oh that one's easy: Instead of upsetting the ultra-wealthy players running magebloods complaining that the game is too easy by nerfing them, GGG instead opted for making harder content they can trivialize instead and make large amounts more currency in the process. It's a "haves" versus the "have nots". And you can be rest assured that when the complaints hit critical mass again, we'll see T18 maps and uber uber bosses. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" That can, again, be explained by GGG hastily adding the content to appease said ultra-wealthy players trivializing the game. If I recall, when they announced the release of uber bosses, they specifically mentioned that some players find the regular ones too easy. T17 maps were an inevitable continuation of that when those same people complained that T16 maps are too easy. Well gee, GGG, there's another way to solve that problem, which you've been doing for every single league, by nerfing the everliving daylights out of the people making the complaints. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! " Some of it may be borrowed power, but there cannot be any doubt that we get more powerful every league lol, or get very powerful temporarily. Weapon tree, Totem Explode build, Doryani merc, possibilities to scale ES into oblivion, some weird graveyard crafting, printing mirror shards deterministically just for logging in and whatnot... T17 are annoying no doubt, but power is going up not down for the player. |

" In a delve themed corridor map layout? Sign me up Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

" Awful is subjective. There are actually players who prefer T17 layouts over wide open maps for different reasons. Wild concept I know. So no, it's never bad for a game to introduce higher-ceiling difficulty. It's only bad for those getting farmed by pixel mechanics or who can't handle not zooming through everything without problems. " Higher-ceiling difficulty? That's a good one. You mean rolling reflect from Risk Scarab and insta death, that's your "higher-ceiling difficulty"? It's easy game if you want to be easy. Stop pretending that this grind fest require some skill. On Probation Any%

" Who mentioned Risk Scarabs? No one. You dragged that in as if it somehow dismantles the point being made about T17 maps, which it doesn’t, at all. We’re discussing the design and intent behind T17s, and you're pivoting to reflect deaths like that’s some kind of checkmate. It’s not. T17 maps were introduced specifically to provide a difficulty tier above T16s, a new ceiling for progression. And that’s exactly what they accomplished. Same as how the new memory maps now offer a small step above t16 content. It’s not complicated. No one is out here claiming T17s are some test of mechanical mastery, so I have no idea where this “pretending it takes skill” narrative is even coming from. " I can't take it seriously really. I don't know what's with that difficulty bullshit from you. If difficulty scaling depends on how many chaos orbs I will use on map because mods are binary, I can run, or not, [Removed by Support]. " Not sure what's so confusing about it. Good builds barely notice most mods. Bad builds have to reroll more. It’s always been like that, even before T17 maps, t17 maps this just makes it more obvious. That doesn’t change the fact that T17 is simply designed to be harder content above T16 maps. It’s just a new difficulty ceiling. Nothing more, nothing less.
