A lot of them are on power trip. It may sound ridiculous to normal people. ABle to gatekeep, control what can be allow or not is an authoritarian power like being Prefects (students given power by school to monitor student behaviours) (or whatever you called that in your country) in high schools.

The Subreddits are only for happy clappers and posting that a mirror/mageblood dropped and for pointless deep analysis of Kingsmarch it seems.

On any subreddit that gets spammed with low effort posts like /r/pathofexile you can't search by new because there is so much crap. You can't use the default because Reddit pushes months old posts to the top as a site default now. You have to search by hot and hope for the best.

I had to use an alt account just to check it out, because I thought I was shadow banned or something, but no, mods for some reason inserted ridiculous filters, that you cannot even ask for help of any kind. You cannot post anything about state of the game, you cannot ask any technical issues that may help certain people understand if it's a client side or server side problem.
Some people use these subreddits, to get quicker answers compared to here.
Perhaps I've been shadow banned on my alt account too, despite never touching those subreddits and never getting an actual ban? *shrugs*
They went nuclear and perma banned literally anyone who didn't just post the most polite posts possible.
The subreddits now have nothing but the most extreme nicest casuals and is just a gigantic hugbox.

there is nothing wrong with bluesky or reddit, something tells me, the people complaining about those websites are xtwitterfanboys
and the only reason they complain is because they are unable to free speech on those websites (which actually means hate speech/racism/bigotry and sexism.)
as 99% of the people that complain about reddit do so because they cant harass or stalk people they hate on their... (because they are dealt with accordingly and immediately.)
wheras twitter/facebook encourages all that hateful crap..
also nothing is worse than official game forums.
both the d4 forums and this one and last epochs official game forum are all far worse than reddit.... there is a reason why the devs usually post on reddit before anywhere else.... because its the most popular

If you talk about hate speech - it's free speech as well
If you can't take a few words that for some reason make you uncomfortable, well, that's a you problem
Sometimes people understand faster and better when you phrase it intolerantly and little bit on the rude side than rainbows and sunshine
