If you're "hyped" and end up playing 3.26 at least until Sunday June 22nd only good things can happen. People are born with ignorance, they go through experience, make mistakes in the process (some more costly), learn and adapt.

Most here should be familiar about the quote "beating a dead horse". If you have better things you're looking forward to experience with your remaining life and precious time within this industry or otherwise then you would've already forgotten or moved on from PoE or even the gaming industry as a whole, given what it hasn't delivered through over a decade, despite the tools and tech being available.

What surprises me the most is GGG willingness to continue delivering PoE leagues completely free to play given the current state or reality. As time goes new supporters will come and old ones will be gone. Anyone who believes or refuses to support the company at this stage in some sort of protest or thinking it'll somehow allow the company to do more for PoE in the upcoming future they're wrong.

All of what GGG can do is either hire more and better talent/employees/staff (resources) and that goes from the minor roles all the way to top through time. Companies adjust through time based on statistics to maximize profits for the following year and not for the next decade.

It's irrelevant how much $ the company has received in 2023, 2022, 2021, etc. what matters is how much it'll receive this year to be able to do what the following year with those resources. Like I said, it does surprise me 3.26 is already not behind a paywall, like at least $15 and I hope that changes soon, because I still do care and greatly about the future of Path of Exile 1.

No one in this thread has "proved your point", not even you.

I kind of agree with the Op theory if we all spent like crazy on this new league they might save poe1 if not I think it's probably going to go the way of d2 after it's been out for 10 years. Aka no more support in terms of new content until they remaster the game and even than still nope.
I think everybody should be paying OP 30£ for all the entertainment he provides, no questions asked ofcourse.

OP can then support GGG from the pot and haters will be even madder. Win win for everyone.

And what are we indirectly telling them if we mindlessly throw money at them? That it's OK to "forget" about PoE for a year? What if 3.26 turns out like hot garbage? We're telling them that no matter how sloppy they are, we're here to endorse that? "The PoE1 schmucks will always pay"?

No. If GGG wants PoE1 to stick around and be relevant, they better put out some quality content. And quality content always brings in the money.

It used to be possible to pay $500 USD for a custom forum avatar.

I don't know whether this is still an option; you could always email support@grindinggear.com and ask them. Just be warned it is very expensive, and you don't get points or anything else as part of the purchase. It'll also take 3-6 months before your finished avatar gets uploaded to the website.
Imagine the lack of introspection that would be required to spend your spare time telling people they’ve posted in the wrong section of some company's forum, only to then try accusing someone else of brown-nosing.
I will spend $30 ONLY if GGG add AH and remove death -exp penalty.

Otherwise no single 1$

Nailed it, Phrazz.
I've been here nearly 13 years, and I spend money when GGG puts out content that deserves it (imo).
