Spend $30 this "expansion", no questions asked.
" So, what you're saying is that you would rather see the game to maintain all those future updates available, full and free of charge even if they may come delayed further, like 1-2 years and with 25% of the polish and features/content, gotcha. I'm sure you'll be in the minority, while the remaining PoE "enjoyers" will happily continue supporting the company through the years or decade. When everyone who's left contributes/supports the minimum of around $50 a year we'll all benefit much more. Everyone is always welcomed to support the company more if they choose or are able, like how it's always been the case. I also do not want to think or know how else they'll monetize PoE going forward if leagues don't come with paywall, because if that "generous" support was sufficient there wouldn't be "pay for advantage" feeling or design for anyone who's spent less than $50. GGG maintains an ongoing live service for PoE. It's not a game that comes with a price tag where you decide if its worth, because you already know that's all you're going to get. @Aynix#7757 Read the thread title again, because the first sentence afterwards follows with ..."If you're "hyped" and end up playing 3.26 at least until Sunday June 22nd". Dont spend any money until you see the quality of an expansion and actually enjoy the game.
Who knows if they bring POE2 vision here and just nerf everything into the ground along with loot and fun? |

" What I'm saying is what I'm saying; quit trying to put words in my mouth. If you need to create a strawman argument I'll just assume you can't rebutt what I've actually said. " My brother in Christ... we're on page #8 and thus far ZERO PEOPLE have agreed with you. I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...

" This is Beats4president and i approve this comment. Cant go from free to pay but you can go pay to free. I believe that supporter packs will continue to be the backbone of POE. Ive personally spent over a $1000 USD if i had to guess. Maybe more maybe less but ive played for about 7 or 8 years maybe. Thats cheap entertainment dollar for dollar imo. Have a great day exiles!!!! Holla at me on twitch, youtube, tiktok, X, and Rumble @beats4president Always trading :) Thank you GGG for the Great Game Last edited by Beats4president#7802 on Jun 3, 2025, 9:58:36 PM

" According by who and what makes you think the game won't remain free? GGG can easily have a paywall for accessing future "expansions" content, similarly like how private leagues worked. Sarno, the rest who've decided for X reasons not to support could still play their Path of Exile for FREE with all the content and features they've supported in standard. Future updates, features and overall "expansions" will be solely accessible to supporters, including the private leagues and other exclusive events organized and promoted by GGG. Any scenario where PoE future solely relies on supporters sooner or later PoE1 will either degrade further in quality when they figure out how else to monetize it to be "inconvenient", leagues to be 50-75% of what they could be for a strict four month cycle, worse delayed further or all of these things as a worst case scenario. The ONLY "hail mary" scenario for GGG to maintain PoE completely F2P it's through growth and steady revenue, which means the game to continue enjoying a great weather within the industry thanks to mediocre products at best being delivered, while the lead devs maintain a great relationship with its supporters so they can continue doing what they've been doing and more with a bigger player base. In today's age and market there's too much entitlement for understandable reasons, but in the same time recognize what else isn't available to support what's left that you're playing and caring for. A lot of things have to align for an indie company to get to where GGG did once and I hope it doesn't lose that position. |

" Totally on the edge of collapse, huh? After somehow investing in a whole second game and even dialing back revenue by stretching league cycles to four months, and the latest league dragging on for nearly a year without any desperate, slapped-together bandage leagues just to hawk more supporter packs. Because obviously, according to you, they’re absolutely dying for cash. Yeah, sure, they clearly can’t survive as a free-to-play game—because, you know, a decade-plus of doing exactly that just wasn’t enough to prove it. They’re definitely doomed, lmao On the other hand, even if it was pay-to-play, we wouldn’t see you partake in any races anyway, so why bother trying to innovate a game you don’t play and a business that’s running amazingly fine? Funny how in one post he says GGG is on a verge of collapsing and in other he says GGG has enough money to even make PoE 3 and PoE 4.
This guy is lost cause |

" @Aynix "funny" how there's no quote and link on these defamatory claims/statements you mention (label) about me and there's not one, but two. "A lost cause" indeed it's why I've not been responding to whatever you've been writing within this thread so far, but now since (and while) your defamatory post is still visible and dangling with your privilege to continue using these forums... ![]() I also stated within this thread how the GGG financial statement through the period of 2024 wasn't published, which means NOBODY, but GGG knows what resources it has left at disposal to be able to do what going forward with PoE 1/2 or both. What we can do is rely on past data / statistics like GGG does to decide if and when it's a good time to support the game / company and also more than we normally would. |

" Jumped into this thread and saw this bonkers insane post ?!?!?! Settlers was a year long, not because PoE 2, but PROFITS?!?! You do realize the developers literally TOLD US STRAIGHT OUT that the delays were because PoE 2 was taking more manpower than they planned for. They did multiple interviews and videos walking through every single step by step reason why Settlers needed to be extended indefinitely. And Settlers is NOT making money. A new league would have given them more money than the entire last 10 months of Settlers combined. They make 99% of their money in the first WEEK of a new league. Even YOU said as much in your own posts lol. Wow. First-rate post of the year right there. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Jun 4, 2025, 9:46:58 AM
