patch notes out, turns out they are just nerfes to what's already weak?
I did get the impression that there were far too many nerfs across the board and minimal buffs. I don't follow builds in PoE1 or 2 and I can feel my character progressing in 1, and hit a wall with everything I try in 2. We still don't know the changes on base numbers for all the existing skills, so I'm holding out hope that that's where the buffs lie.
Holy crap mana stackers got absolutely nuked from orbit. - Archmage dmg scaling nerf - Eldritch Battery adds double mana cost - Mana values on gear nerfed - Spark # of projectiles and proj speed - Some mana nodes removed I didn't play this archetype but I find these kinds of nuclear nerfs to be frustrating. A game this complex, when you nerf so many angles of something, you're cutting many other things from finding an interaction with those mechanics. Rather than trying to hit just the builds in question (which I think is pretty much spark builds atm). |

Saw someone say Gemling stat stacking damage got nerfed somewhere between 30-40x less damage.
Fubguns 5 mirror build would go from 150m damage to about 5m lol. Just 1 mirror investment per 1m dps |

" I actually thought this was one of the craziest things. I figured it would get nerfed some but removed is just nuts. Like, even with a SSF HC witch going MoM, GrimFeast, Shield, stacking defenses, you still damn near get 1 shot sometimes. My biggest gripe so far is they seem intent on making your character a bitch even if you stack defenses. |

I think these patch notes are refreshing and I am glad they went with their vision and not what the whiny community wants, OPness.
If they just keep things the way they are, then the game is really no different than POE 1 and they can just get rid of POE 1 and focus on 2. They want POE 2 to be slower paced, more difficult. To do that, everything, I mean EVERYTHING must come down. From there, they can guage the effect it has on the game, and make adjustments from there. Yall seem to forget it is Early Access, and that is what it is for. EA is NOT for the player, it if for the Devs to get baselines on their balance etc. This is a big misconception people have. A game like this Cant be balanced internally, it just isnt possible. 150 people could play 10 hrs a day and still take months to figure out what players can find in 1 day. Everyone freaking out over these changes and they havent even played the patch yet. Take a chill pill and calm down. You knew it was coming, if you were blind to the idea of a small nerf coming, you were just delusional. A nuke hammer was coming, we knew that day 1. |

" What a crock of $#&%. We paid for EA on top of the stash tabs that are required for endgame QOL. On top of that, respec costs a ton of gold and ascendency classes are locked. They also admitted they are basically not treating it as EA. |

" Will have to see what else changes in terms of monster damage or defence. The endgame was kill in 1 shot or be killed in 1 shot. It seems they are trying to remove the kill in 1 shot part now. |

not sure what to think, lots of nerf for sure. During the interview they recognize their always will be broken build but they tend to reduce their number; said something like "imagine now there's 100 broken builds, next uptade maybe there will be 50 and next one 25" but tbh i don't like it cause broken/meta build will always exist so i'd rather have more option than everyone playing the few spared builds.
anyway let's see how it plays tomorrow :D |

" I still find that claim egregious. Who the hell wants to play an arpg's campaign for the same time it would take to 100% like 3 other games |

" Campaign can be beaten in 7 hours with the proper equipment. We will see how long it takes after the patch |
