GGG... here's the basic concept on how to make a game FUN... you're welcome!!!

100% agree with OP. As a Poe1 veteran, it saddens me that they have replaced the joy of discovery, progression and possibility with tedious work in Poe2.

I get that players enjoy the game engine, its really good. However the core systems and play loop is a massive step backwards. I guess people now a days just like to run mindlessly in the hamster wheel...
I don't get it. In PoE 1, everything is granted, you only need to spend some number of hours to get it. How is it different from the job? Any grinding is basically a job to do. The main difference is that in PoE 1 progress is almost automated, you basically just need to press specific button enough times, while in PoE 2, you need to think about what you are doing. I guess for OP, that thinking is just not fun, well it's the game not for him then. Also, not everything is granted in PoE 2. For example, 4th ascendancy is not granted, you have to actually fight for it and not everyone able to do it. Hopefully, eventually, there will be more of such things, which not everyone can do.

You have no idea how right you are.

So many people these days put on a video game, and then tune out. Hours will go by, and I don't even think they remember 1/10th of it after it's done. It's not even about fun or enjoyment anymore for so many.

PoE is awful too, with the gambling mechanics, it really reinforces unhealthy play styles. Thousands and thousands of hours of playtime for some people.

The raw pretentiousness of you guys. It's EARLY ACCESS. It's an initial and very unrefined implementation of systems.

CALM DOWN and let them cook.

But as they said, this EA game takes human's lives and returns only 10% of it :) What an evil diabolic game...

Yeah guys, stop offering feedback on a game that the company is selling in early access, and providing a forum literally titled "early access feedback". How "pretentious" of you to post feedback on the state of the game in the early access; the literal exact thing the forum is for.

You should definitely wait until the game is finished to offer feedback on the game, that's definitely why the company succeeded in PoE1, because they didn't ask for any feedback prior to the game being finished, and also definitely why they created a forum called early access feedback available to people with early access. Because they don't want feedback about the early access.

Jesus some people are so pretentious.

Right. I think it's a very valuable feedback about how game steals so many people lives.
I like how OP talks about low IQ people and in the end he invites people to think yet he himself forgot to do so just like some people under this thread.

Comparing POE and POE2. 10 years of updates vs not even 1 month of EA. I agree with 3/5 of your points in this very emotional "feedback" however all its issues boil down to two things and that is player power and stuff to do.
If there was more stuff to do and more player power then 3/4 of people wouldn't complain about anything and this post wouldn't exist.

That is why it is EA and why everything is toned down and barebone. They've said multiple times that they don't want overbloat and insta zooms like it is in POE. I believe more things will be slowly added to address yours and others concerns.

One thing that baffles me is that everyday there is atleast one post about this exact stuff mainly from people who played POE before that comes off very emotional and they think that what they are saying is something so revolutionary that without yours all input they would NEVER figure out what is wrong. Call it feedback alright.

BTW I saw some very smart people saying that they don't let community know whats up and all I got news for you. They are people like you and me and you know christmas, vacation, public holidays is I guess hard to understand if you are terminally online on forums crying 24/7.

Sure, but you can even in this early access version see the wrong directions.

NOW is the time to correct the design flaws. Not when eveything is set in stone, and just fine adjustments are left over.

But it depends on who you ask. For me, direction looks good, a lot of other players are happy about current direction of PoE 2. A lot of not happy. You are in the unhappy group, but calling your opinion the only truth isn't correct.
