Maximum Life Nodes

+!
I will continue to post this everywhere. But, everyone's problems can be resolved if Life and Resistances always roll on magic gear, and Life. Res and defense % increases always rolled on rare gear. In this way, people would be guaranteed to get some baseline of defenses on all gear and orbs that can be used to reroll at a chance of getting higher or lower values. All other orbs can be used to add lines of suffixes/prefixes to see if you can get rare ones for the perfect equipment. Players shouldn't have to fight for their lives to obtain the basic defenses the game forces them to have. |

" haha very true, 100h with acrobatics, I confirm :D |

" I think this is a great idea. Any gear is basically bricked if it doesn't roll these mods anyway. If not having +res +es +life etc. bricks gear, these mods should have at least 1-2 guaranteed rolls. |

" This is probably the dumbest reason that was ever given about anything. |

Yes, setting aside the obvious fact that life is so bad right now (especially when you compare it to mana or es).
I would love to see more life (or defensive options in general) on the tree. Right now I feel like the tree is just all about damage (with a few exceptions) so it gets abit boring after a while when youve figured out which nodes gives your build the highest damage (and this will get even worse with pob) cause you just have zero variety. While in poe1 you always had the option of sacrificing damage nodes for defense so you had more variety.
" That is actually not at all how evasion works in this game.
" Even if you think it's dumb it's true. I know multiple people that tried PoE1 that eventually dropped the game due to the tedium of trying to balance mandatory survival stats. Just because a game is complicated doesn't mean it's innately a good thing. Mandatory tedium should be cut away for more intuitive systems to have the spotlight. I do think defensive scaling mechanics in PoE2 need a lot of tweaking, but bringing back mandatory life passives as a band-aid fix instead of focusing on properly balancing the defensive stats such as armour, evasion, ES, and block is not the way to go. " Oh come on i beat PoE1 campaign the first time i played it on HC with split arrow and GMP. There's no "tedium", it's simply choosing between more damage and more health. I mean i'm ok with removing health nodes as long as they plan to somehow compensate, but don't tell me they did it because some players have an IQ of a chimp, because if that's the case anyone who has it above 80 should quit now. |
