POE2 must really be in rough shape...
I probably won't touch poe2 until I see it being close in complexity and build diversity to poe1 at he very least. From all I've seen so far, I see poe2 as an extremely dumbed down version of poe1 in most regards.
However, it can't be denied that it's been a very a successful EA and poe2 has appealed to a broader audience so far, considering online numbers. Whether this is still the honeymoon phase and the brutally long campaign, simplified passive tree and gem system, and bland but punishing end game will work for a seasonal model like poe1, it remains to be seen. I just hope that GGG will surprise us with a great league, maybe some minor expansion( tho i have my doubts). And that poe2 success will pull in some more players for the next poe1 league. |

Comparing a game with over a decade of work put into it with one that just released a week ago, yes this is normal and good faith behavior. No one here is weirdly hung up about anything, no sir. Meanwhile I'll be the first to admit everything past the first 2.5 acts is pretty rough but they will obviously improve the game.

" poe1 has a steam player peak of 14,000 in the last 24 hours. poe2 has a steam 24 hour peak of 500,000 players. whatever you are waiting for, trust me its not coming. the future is waiting for you on the other side. |

" It's just POE 1 "players" who have spent all their time following other people's builds thinking that POE 2 is POE 1. It's not. The new game is more methodical and deliberate compared to the first. It requires more of you because it gives less to you. They can't and won't understand that but, they are the vocal minority as the numbers show. If anything GGG needs to double down on how the game is, nerf anything that gets too close to zoomy and keep an eye on build numbers to bring them down and in-line with a paced game, and not one you play while watching Netflix. |

" bro, it's literally in the honeymoon phase right now LOL. it's not "to remain to be seen" heck, someone could even argue the honeymoon phase is over lmao "Path of Exile's engine is currently modern, lean and fast." - Chris Wilson, September 19th, 2019 "It looks like we broke something with 3.10.0. " Oh look it's the self-appointed Customers Representative ! Dude the vast majority of the players are happy with the early access , and out of the minority of the players who are not happy ( sometimes for very good reasons ) you are just one of the very few who are literally hostile like they were scammed . So take a seat dude you are not representing anyone here . |

" It's not just EA, it's version 0.1. The game has been out for a week. |

If poe2 is a scam, I'll happily contribute more to it like a mindless sheep.

" You might be conditionally right. The honeymoon phase is over for zoom zoom ARPG players. They tried it and realized the best defensives in PoE 2 are Dodge and Raise shield. These players will go back to the standard Diablo like games where you 1 button mash through everything in 1 second. This game will only continue to grow it's audience for players looking for more immersive methodical combat that is challenging. Again it's EA and this game will be massively popular when it full releases as long as GGG stays true to their vision of what PoE 2 is supposed to be. Full release likely will have 2 or even 3+ million players. To say the honey moon phase is over isn't exactly correct lol. PoE 2 is a future game of the year and next best thing in the ARPG genre.
