What upsets me the most is that we were told you would have a choice between Ultimatum and Sanctum. This is 100% incorrect. If you get your 3rd ascendancy points doing ultimatum, you will not be able to get your 4th. Not only will you not be able to get your 4th, but now instead of having to run a lvl 65 sanctum you have to run a lvl 75!!!! It's insane. I probably could have beaten the 65 eventually, but a lvl 75 is just ridiculous for a melee warrior. It's not fun

EDIT: this is incorrect. you have to run 1 level higher to get your 4th. so a level 76. well i ran the 76 which said it would give me points, and it didn't give me points. so im stuck at 3 ascendancy i guess.

It is exactly that. For me it's not fun, i don't want to do that.

For me personally i ran out of maps decided to try my third trial, spent like 10-15 ex on maps just to fail tthem all, then to do an ultimatum 7 and it not to give me my ascendancy when i finally did it, apart from the vagueness of the requiremenets, the absolutely pointless ultimatum 4 and 7 and djinn barya before 3 trials, which has been somehow adressed, is UTTER fucking bullshit, i hate the ascendancy options and requirements, unbalanced, not even thought out, full bullshit, on something that is such a huge requirement in the game, i saw a guy who was doing tier 15 maps with 0 ascendancys.... like what the fuck is that, I HATE every time i get the willpower to try, i leveled up to lvl 77 res capped as much as possible, got a sick ass weapon, and i m still getting dunkned on my honor by random trash in this stupid ass trial.... for fuck's sake delete this whole system or whatever because it is UNFUN, UNBALANCED, BROKEN, it makes me want to delete this game, because of how stupid it has been made. WHY DO I HAVE TO BE LEVEL 90 FULL BIS GEAR TO GET MY THIIIIIIIIRD NOT LAST MY THIRD ASCENDANCY, this makes no fucking sense, making everybody to deal with the dogshit ascendancy trials is THE WORST part of this game, and it's not even close.... get your shit together

After playing another char to ascendancy 3, whoever decided this deserves to be in the game needs to be fired immediately. Most unfun shit ever, not even as optional content would anyone enjoy doing such garbage. It's antithetical to how you play an arpg and any "negative boon" you can pick is either pointless or completely bricks your character.
