Ascendancy Trials Feedback: Understanding Player Concerns
If Sanctum is here to stay we need more then one alternative because I think the Karui trial will be even more busted on release.

Haven't read the entire thread so apologize if this has already been suggested. However if the trials MUST be tied to ascendancies, then at least make them a static quest and balance around that. The randomness of both makes it more pain then gain doing them.

Completely agree with the feedback.
Sekhema becomes substantially easier once you stack honor resist & mox honor relics but a lot of players either dont know that, or gathering the relics comes at the expense of hours of frustration within the trial. I've personally got my 3rd ascendancy, and I already have the djinn barya for the 4th since couple days. I also have relic slots unlocked and have good relics to make it relatively trivial. But the gameplay of it is so annoying and unfun i just dont bother. Rather not have my 4th ascendacy than spending 1-X hours in that place again. Hopefully GGG will listen to player feedback on this. |

Objective and constructive criticism. Very Well written and I personally whole heartedly agree with the Trials as they are are the biggest potential to cause new and current players to quit POE 2. Success left to chance vs player skill and building character and execution makes the whole journey of making and customizing our characters seem pointless. Case in Point: In Sanctum I was afflicted with "You have No Energy Shield". How much would that suck to someone who had Chaos Inoculation which reduces them to 1 life and you are basically only protected by energy shield? The randomness of the trials are not giving any meaning to our effort in making and playing our builds and that creates a lot of frustration when it comes down to RNG. I shouldn't be constantly dying to trials when I am 10 levels above the recommended level to attempt a trial and yet here we are... |

" It took me over 20 runs to even see "honour resistance" on a relic. This is all up to RNG. Honour is a ridiculous system. |

My 2 concerns with Ascendancy trials are: 1. Honor system, remove it or make it so that you need to deal enough damage to accumulate honor to progress further, meaning just clear all rooms fully. 2. The death penalty of having to lose the entire chance of doing the trials. It's already long to acquire the keys to open let alone getting the one you need that is required to ascend your character. On top of this, Sekhema feels like a marathon, that by the time you get to the floor 3 final boss you're already exhausted and one little mistake you die and lose entire process. My solution for Nr.2 is removing 1 death fail penalty or just give us the ability to buy the keys off vendor for gold for infinite amount of tries. You can't learn mechanics of a boss if you get one shotted and spend 10 hours to get a chance at it again. |
