0.1.0d Hotfix 1

My cast on shock lightning conduit wasn’t even overpowered, I pathed to every single energy gain node on the tree and that got me 1 proc per pack when dumping all mana into spamming ball lightnings.

Now I spam ball lightning which does no damage as it’s just a shock applicator and my damage skill doesn’t go off.

I only just got to maps as well after 49 hours and already dumped all my gold fixing the mana drain issues I had after investing everything I had into getting a 4 link ball lightning which is now a completely useless skill :(
I really hope that there won't be new leagues in poe 1, so that I can see even more burning as#es on this forum.
Basically you can now remove triggered meta gems from the game *facepalm*

Personally, I have not played with this skill and have not watched streamers who play like this. But such changes are always bad. This is not a nerf, it is the removal of the game style completely. If this is early access and anything else, you could have given it a little more time and come up with a better strategy to change this skill. But even if you disagree with this, it's definitely worth giving people a free tree dump or reducing its cost. Are we here to test? With the high reset price, testing is almost impossible and it's easier to just stop playing.

Also, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of non-casuals who are upset by these changes. I can also name one pretty big non-casual streamer who is upset too. If you think he is casual, I think you need some help.

I assure you plenty of people would be fine if it were damages that were nerfed instead of the interaction that actually allows the build to work, especially drastic changes like these where the interaction is actually nuked.

Anyway, the last thing I want to say is that people with some self-respect will be upset with these changes. Those who don't have any self-respect won't care.

They wouldn't even need to give gold, they can just do what they do in the first game's Standard League and give a free total respec when major changes happen.

CoF was the ONLY thing that made Cold Sorc viable. I spent ~35 hours (went slow, read/listened to all lore etc.) and was just yesterday in end of Act 1 cruel and I was really having FUN!

Today I read the patch notes and think "if they go from 100 energy to 120 on comet that will be tough but doable... if 150 that might be it". Well... the new treshold is 300... oh and comet gain went down from 0.12 to 0.1 (on lvl 11 gem i have) so further nerf on top of nerf.

Now it's bricked and unplayable. At this point I don't even want a respec. Cold Sorc is unplayable without CoF anyway. I think I'm done until you figure out what you're doing. Was nice while it lasted... See you on release maybe.

PS. Oh and Comet with it's 2.5-3s cast time (after you put some meaningful support gems on it) is a dead skill because you will get killed before it get's casted (even if you first freeze minions, some will unfreeze by the time you're done casting) - you might as well remove it.

if you had played as a mage, you would not have made such a stupid change. You are not just modifying the skills of a profession, but effectively eliminating it.
How about fixing the minions, they just disappear on maps where there are any obstacles and it's unplayable. Also need a separate cooldown on the resurrection of different minions
