High CPU Usage and Low Performance in Path of Exile 2

Well - i suffer the same.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10 GHz
32,0 GB
GeForce RTX 3060

Have run a INtel diagnostic and all parameter are green.
Dont have this problem with other Stuff i run on my PC...its odd

My computer crashes just trying to kill the worm dude in the first dungeon. Also crashes randomly. Done with this game till I hear it’s been fixed.

Same as well - entire PC just freezes and I have to force restart my PC every time it happens. Unfortunate too - I feel as if us buying early access, there would be some form of quick patch to fix it... Very disappointing.

same issue here, CPU all the way 100% usage in game.. and got lag/freeze ..

Report the game on steam. The developer hasn't made a peep in 5 days about about anything. Seemed to have cashed checks and went on holiday.

I had the same issue: the game would stop responding every time I transitioned to a new location. I tried many solutions I found online, but eventually, I decided to disable CPU virtual cores (Hyper-Threading) in the BIOS. Since making this change, the game hasn't crashed even once.

CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F (6 cores, 2.90 GHz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B460M D3H
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
