High CPU Usage and Low Performance in Path of Exile 2

Same issue for me, computer completely crashes at times on loading screens.
Same here,on loading screen my pc is freezing

"
I have no problems, I have an AMD RYZEN 5600x in my system with 32GB RAM and an AMD ASUS DUAL RX 6600.
Especially as I also have the ‘AORUS-AX370-Gaming-K7’ mainboard.
I have no problems with it, my CPU utilisation with FSR is just 8% and my GPU utilisation and RAM utilisation is just 38%.
The temperature at idle is just 25 degrees, at half load it goes up to about 45 degrees, and at full load just between 60 & 78 degrees, but I'm not going crazy yet, the CPUs are designed for that!
And what's important, I'm also running Firefox / Chrome & Opera Browser + OBS and then the game !!!!
Guys, maybe you should check your system first!
E.g. CPU conductive paste, is there still enough on it?
Maybe clean the fan, or maybe install another one to optimise the circulation.
If you have installed a WAKU, set it so that the temperature does not exceed 80 degrees, which is basically the case with the new CPUs anyway, if it gets warmer than 90 degrees, the CPU will clock down anyway.
Then the system should be so that your GPU works and not the CPU, if the GPU has little memory, then the GPU & your RAM take over the work, then it is clear that you are complaining. !
If the system doesn't harmonise with each other, you can just stand in the corner and catcher

Your text is all well and good, but the issues most people are experiencing here have nothing to do with the hardware itself. Not only does your text contain dangerous half-knowledge, but it is also absolute nonsense. There are now thousands of posts addressing freezing, stuttering, etc., and I seriously doubt that every one of these people has a dusty PC.

Your “everything works fine for me” simply doesn’t help anyone – not in the slightest. It could simply be because your hardware is older compared to what many other users have.

Feel free to use me as an example. I experience both infinite loading screens and stuttering in the game.
My Hardware:
• Ryzen 9800X3D
• RTX 4080
• 64 GB DDR5
• MSI X870E Carbon
• Windows 11

In-Game Temperatures 4K@120fps
• GPU: 60°C, Hotspot: 72°C
• CPU: 50°C
• SSD (Samsung 990 Pro): 50°C

I am connected directly to the router via an Ethernet cable, have a more than sufficient internet connection, and consistently get a ping of 7–24 ms, depending on the server, without packet loss or similar issues.

I can fix the loading screen freeze by switching from DX12 to Vulkan and using the BES program to reduce the CPU limit for “pathofexile2.exe” by 7%. Why this works, I have no idea, but it certainly has nothing to do with the temperatures! Additionally, this “fix” only works for the first launch of the game. Once I close Path of Exile, I need to restart the PC and repeat the procedure. If I try to launch the game a second time without restarting the PC, it results in an infinite loading screen and requires a hard reset.

I can’t fix the stuttering, no matter what I do. The CPU usage randomly spikes, the shader bar jumps, there’s a brief stutter, and then everything returns to normal, but this happens regularly.

The only thing that has helped me so far is running the CPU at over 90% load constantly. However, this solution is neither optimal nor acceptable for me.

I have an i7 8700k and rtx 2070 super and have tried limiting the CPU cores Poe uses and even tried throttling cpu by 10% with BES and still continue to randomly crash while loading maps.

I've now started to use intel xtu to limit the reference core by about 10% and it seems to be a bit more stable.
Same here. CPU is being fried, high latency, dangerous temps 80+, hight utilization.
The stuttering problem still exists. :(
Issue Description:
Path of Exile 2 shows low performance (30–40 FPS) on a high-end system:

Processor: Intel i9-10900KF
Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super
RAM: DDR4-3200MHz
Resolution: 2560x1440
The issue persists even at moderate graphical settings. The system is not fully utilized, suggesting potential optimization issues.

System Monitoring Results:
Processor (CPU):

Core temperatures reach 81°C, despite relatively low utilization (10–20% on average).
Poor load distribution across CPU cores: some cores are significantly more utilized than others, causing a bottleneck in performance.
Graphics Card (GPU):

GPU utilization reaches 96%, with temperatures remaining stable at 51°C.
VRAM usage is low (~2 GB out of 8 GB available).
General Observations:

The bottleneck is CPU-side due to inadequate multi-threading across cores.
Despite high GPU utilization, the game cannot achieve a stable FPS above 30–40.
Actions Taken:
System monitoring was conducted using MSI Afterburner:

CPU: Low utilization with high temperatures.
GPU: Fully loaded but limited by CPU bottleneck.
Settings were adjusted:

Tested different renderers (DX11, DX12, Vulkan). Vulkan showed slight improvements, but FPS remained low.
Graphics settings were reduced to medium/low levels (shadows, lighting, and other effects).

Findings:
Primary Issue: Uneven CPU core load distribution. One or two cores are overloaded while others remain underutilized, creating a bottleneck.
GPU utilization is efficient, but it is constrained by the CPU bottleneck.
The problem likely stems from poor optimization for multi-threaded processors or specific behaviors at high resolutions in Path of Exile 2.
Same with AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6 cores
Same here with AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
Nvidia RTX 370 TI

Only happens when changing locations in loading screens.
CPU load and temperature increase quickly (LOAD=100%, TEMP=90+) then game freezes up my PC and I have to manually turn off my PC.
