Hard crashing PC locks up
" 122% utilization? My God that is a GOOD cpu lol |

Just +1ing this post. I believe all of my hard lockups were during a loading screen, but nothing in the logs seems to correlate to anything.
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 32GB RAM @ DDR5-6000 CL36 Geforce RTX 4090 Windows 11 24H2 Nothing else really running besides Steam, Discord, web browser. |

+1, always on loading screen
win 11 rtx 3060 i5 12400f 32gb ram |

" Are people using fullscreen windowed (borderless) mode? I am asking because I was worried about overlays (steam overlay, discord, etc.) and things like vsync/gsync, frame rate limiting having something to do with this. |

Speculation isn't gong to help much, this is obviously a coding issue, when loading assets. Likely due to poor memory management, or as I said before, a stuck cycle causing an infinite loop.
Until GGG figure out the cause, there is nothing we can do except turn off multithreading, |

Same issue is happening to me, I'm afraid of playing it and bricking my PC to death — I can't afford that because I use this same PC for work.
I have a Windows 10 22H2 AMD Ryzen 9 7900x3D 12-Core 32 RAM DDR5 GeForce RTX 4080 This does not seem to be entirely related to Windows 24h2, it feels more like something to do with AMD Processors, can't really say for sure. The issue is the CPU spikes like crazy during Loading Screens and in Towns, simply standing afk in any Town heats up the CPU to about 85ºC, whereas in game normally it stays just slightly above 60ºC; A similar thing happens during Loading Screens, where the CPU can heat up to nearly 90ºC I think these spikes in heat are causing the PC to shut down in order to avoid damage, I don't know, I'm no expert. For further reference, here are the CPU temperatures during certain games that I've played recently: - Dota 2 barely gets above 60ºC - Age of Empires 4 stays slightly above 60ºC with occasional 70ºC during massive battles. - Silent Hill 2 Remake peaks around 75ºC, but never got to 80ºC - Alan Wake 2 can hit the occasional 80ºC, but its usually very very briefly, probably a loading issue as well. bump - hoping for a fix soon

I recently replaced my 7950x3d with 9800x3d. World of warships and Poe 2 would crash. All different ways. I reloaded my os. Did not fix it. Windows 10. I checked asus, another bios update. Updated bios. When i updated the bios prior for 9800x3d i forgot to turn of the igp. I let it ride but after updating the bios to the latest version i went ahead and turned off the igp. Now my computer runs flawless in poe 2 besides the texture error. My recommendation is to load into bios and disable the integrated graphics igp. My motherboard is asus 670e gaming. Its under advanced cpu inl think. Look for nb.
........POSSIBLE FIX........ To recap: disable integrated graphics in bios. ........POSSIBLE FIX........ Good luck! Edit: I also want to add if you do decide to disable the igp, be sure to go the amd support and reinstall the amd drivers/chipset afterwards. It removed the amd igp software and drivers. " Going to fullscreen mode definitely helped my issues. Haven't froze my PC since. Only other modifications I've done is the VRAM set ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) When you disconnect in the lab ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

I'm going back to PoE 1 until they get a fix in place, this is a bit too serious for me to continue and I don't want to be messing around with my PC just to get PoE 2 to work — I can wait.
I work with my PC and can't afford to have it explode or something lmfao. |
