Hard crashing PC locks up

The freeze still happening btw
i hope we get something for this.. its funny we cant play game we spent 30$ on but having in mind that this bug can DESTROY our pc's is just unbelievable
Guys, this error just completely crashed my PC, and I had no choice but to reinstall everything after my files were corrupted from multiple hard resets. This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a serious issue that could potentially damage my system. I love POE 2, but this error is not only unacceptable, it’s dangerous. If this is not addressed immediately, more players could face the same risk. I’m extremely frustrated and frankly, this is something that needs urgent attention from the development team.

This is not a minor bug, if there ever was a CRITICAL error, THIS IS ONE.

Edit: Dont' forget, that this bug occurs with very expensive PCs, it has potential to do A LOT of financial damage to players. Im afraid to log in, my PC is too expensive.

Complete freezes were happening much more frequently in Act 3. Had to reset my PC each time and setting CPU affinity etc didn't really help (other than being able to close the process).

5700x3d and 2070 Super

Rolling back Windows Update so that I was no longer on Windows 11 24H2 fixed the issue for me.
Had to resort to allocating only 2 out of 4 CPU cores in order to circumvent the complete PC freeze, however I am still getting game freezes when loading a new zone. I think I will play something else until this is resolved because its really annoying.

OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 26100.2454
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
GPU: Nvidia 3600M
Nvidia driver: 566.36

P.S. check the in-game chat as well, this is quite a common issue
Still happening.

At least its on the Known Issues High Prioty post now.

Why hasnt this been acknowledged by GGG yet?

I can understand it takes time to fix things and that this is early access, but its disgraceful that there has been no communication regarding such a critical issue that is seizing computers up completely, and potentially damaging players' hardware.

For gods sake just say that theyre aware its an issue and theyre talking to Microsoft or something. If it is caused by Windows 24H2, Ubisoft have already pushed out a patch fixing Outlaws and Avatar interaction with the update, why cant we get a simple "we're looking into it"

Read the very first post on the EA Bug Report forums.

Through recovery menu in Windows Settings there should be an option called "Go Back". It will only be available for 10 days after you installed 24H2 and will put your computer back to the same state during that time (i.e. any program you installed during 24H2 will be uninstalled). If the option is not available unfortunately you have to clean install a previous version of W11.
