Guys, try to take out 1x rams card out of your pc.

Say "D4 lol" then suggest taking a ram stick out.

This generally sums everything up.

I have been having this issue for some weeks now too. Sad that it wasn't mentioned in the bugfixes. For me though I do have found a workaround that lets me play.

I have to disable multithreading every time I want to teleport or change zones when I play. When I'm in a map I can then enable it and play normally. It is a hassle and tedious (especially if you rip in a map, you have to remember to disable it before you enter a new map or it can freeze the computer) but it does go into muscle memory quite fast.
You also have to have multithreading disabled when you log out of the game because it can crash and freeze on the loading screen when logging in. Basically I only have multithreading enabled when I'm in a map and otherwise its disabled, yeah the fps takes a crap but you are most of the time in your hideout so it isnt too too bad.

Even still this issue is super annoying and I hope we get a fix for it sooner than later but atleast with multithreading disabled on loading screens I have been able to play almost normally.

This.

To my knowledge, having "multithreading" disabled in the Options except when in Maps is the only work-around until a proper fix is released.

What does it sum up?
I'm just trying to help. Taking ram stick out helped for me, it's 2 min job, is it not worth a try? If it won't work- stick it back in, job done.
I know it's not ideal solution but if that is temporary fix why not?
And d4 lol- ye d4 lol😆 I would rather play candy crush, that has more end game than d4

As much as your help is appreciated, not everyone who plays videogames is "tech savy" enough to do that. That's like saying "Oh you your dog is sick? Well just give him this and this pill and he will be fine".

Also, maybe a delusional take, but I should not touch anything inside my pc to consume a product. Did not have to my entire life, and will not start now. It either works or it doesn't, I will not bend over backwards just to play. This seems like too much.
Well.. another patch.. same history.. I guess the last response from staff is valid for what, a month? (based on the first one)
im out again.. see yall in a month ^.^
Hope i can play in that time!

Windows 11 23H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

IT WORKS! Getting 120-ish FPS right now. But as I understand it doesn't help against CTDs or freezes but at least it doesn't lock up my pc. If the game works fine inside my virtual machine, why can't it work on my PC? Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining because after your suggestion it is a fresh breeze, I can forget about power button.

Hypocritical BS. He helped me to install esxci to play the game finally without lock ups. Imagine being so aggressive and toxic because someone else knows things better than you. What a loser.

Glad for you. Now you're able to play the game. As for the question, it is difficult to say, the configuration changed significantly, your guest machine has completely different virtual hardware and the device drivers. But the initial point of the idea is to protect your host system against the hard locks reliably, so don't expect in the future that your guest OS will sustain loading screens.

The only thing you can do right now is to wait for the actual fix from the industry, because such serious problem has wider scope than the local Joes the "Taco Bell" specialists think (not sure they can do this) yelling and blaming GGG.

Guys, try to take out 1x rams card out of your pc. Only takes 2 minutes, way easier than changing bios settings😁

After weeks of crashing- I would say well above 1000 crashes in my play time, I took 16gb rams out (left with 16gb running) and I DID NOT CRASH A SINGLE TIME SINCE

Good luck

This only works if you play standing (NOT SITTING) with your left foot ahead of your right foot.

U forgot to mention FLip the Pc Upside down, dance macarena for 66 seconds and yell "D4 BAD" 3 times before launching the game.
