Hard crashing PC locks up
well... I stepped away for a few weeks going back to work and playing another game. not sure what I expected in coming back but spinning up a VM to run a single game wasn't even on my bingo card. Props to whoever suggested this workaround.
I assume GGG still has not responded and we gave up expecting anything from them? |

" Nope? It's still on their high priority list, and they recently said that *insert surprised pikachu face here* they are still working on it (as of 2 days ago or whenever it was). |

Another Patch without fix.
Thank you! Giving Gamers Grief! |

Patch notes and no fix... thanks a lot.

" I'm really looking forward to Diablo 4 season 7 at this point. For all the crap that the GGG bootlickers give Blizzard and D4, one things for certain... they would not allow 5+ weeks to go by without fixing a PC bricking bug. Hell, they would have it fixed in days or even hours. D4 may not have a robust endgame, but it sure does shine when it comes to game stability, smoothness, combat fluidity, and gameplay. Just remember GGG apologists, giving them such leeway that you do give them, it just makes them think they can do anything to their customers regardless of how horrible or scummy it might be. You constantly saying "oh don't worry, GGG will fix it, its just EA anyway" isn't helpful to anyone, and it just strokes the dev's inflated egos even more. Also, Jonathan sticking to his guns with 1 portal in maps. lol. Joke of a company at this point. Last edited by Jaylock24#5784 on Jan 16, 2025, 3:00:59 AM

D4 lol
Guys, try to take out 1x rams card out of your pc. Only takes 2 minutes, way easier than changing bios settings😁 After weeks of crashing- I would say well above 1000 crashes in my play time, I took 16gb rams out (left with 16gb running) and I DID NOT CRASH A SINGLE TIME SINCE Good luck |

" What are you basing this off? Since it's certainly not true. Blizzard has had many issues they didn't manage to solve for a very long time that plagued more than just one of their games especially in relations to AMD cards, some that spans threads that were active over a year with complete radio silence from the developers. So yeah, you can be excited for their new release, but don't spread misinformation just because you're unhappy that GGG haven't managed to fix it yet. P.S I am also dealing with these lockups and yes it sucks. Last edited by yhn_yohan#2057 on Jan 16, 2025, 3:18:49 AM

" This is sadly what these threads turn into, entitlement at its finest. | |
I have been having this issue for some weeks now too. Sad that it wasn't mentioned in the bugfixes. For me though I do have found a workaround that lets me play.
I have to disable multithreading every time I want to teleport or change zones when I play. When I'm in a map I can then enable it and play normally. It is a hassle and tedious (especially if you rip in a map, you have to remember to disable it before you enter a new map or it can freeze the computer) but it does go into muscle memory quite fast. You also have to have multithreading disabled when you log out of the game because it can crash and freeze on the loading screen when logging in. Basically I only have multithreading enabled when I'm in a map and otherwise its disabled, yeah the fps takes a crap but you are most of the time in your hideout so it isnt too too bad. Even still this issue is super annoying and I hope we get a fix for it sooner than later but atleast with multithreading disabled on loading screens I have been able to play almost normally. |
