Lasso only remove cores from the process, which can help not your entire PC to freeze, but the game still will freeze. But if you prefer to do that, I would rather set affinity right away, not use the limiter. After all, the limiter is a rule you create but I don't want 100% to hit at all.

Going to give that a try. Set it to -10%.

I have also had hard locks occur a few times (completely frozen where I have to reboot the PC, I cant Ctrl+Alt+Del), typically when loading a zone. I am running 7800x3D and running 24H2.

This doesn't happen every time I load a zone, but I have had it happen 3-4 times while playing.

I had the same issue. Last night, I lowered the clock rate of my CPU to 52, and the game stopped crashing. I hope this helps someone.

I'm a little upset we have not had an acknowledgement from GGG about this issue. This is affecting a LOT of people and has the potential to harm a lot of people's PCs. Using external programs as a workaround for this issue is not a satisfactory solution and GGG needs to step up, acknowledge the issue and give us some information on both why it is happening and an ETA on a fix.

Were you lucky with the temporary solution using BES cpu limiter? For me it works so far, but I would love GGG to hotfix this.

Same issue here, no issues with any other game.

Whole PC just freezes on the loading screen at times with the audio looping.
The only way to get out of it is to hard reset.

NVIDIA 3060 12GB
2x8GB DDR4
