Hard crashing PC locks up

Yep, it's OS / hardware issue. GGG can make workaround.

don't tell, these clowns sticking with their ignorance

I have returned from business trip. Fck it, I am going clean install Windows with 23h2, never had issue with that before.

Once this is fixed on windows or driver level, I will upgrade.

Yeah same issue for me. Happened in loading screen when i ported somewhere. Also my CPU temperatures spike to 100C in loading screen. And i never had any issues ever for years in any game. Not with temps or pc crashes. MY temps are amazing everywhee else.

SysteM:

i5 13600k
RTX3070
Latest Windows 11 24H2
1440p gaming
Arctic Liquid Freezer 3

That is possible ? I though Windows will update automatically, no ? Also @staff pls check the cpu temperatures issue i posted above. Thank you

OS / hardware issue that none of their competitors have.
GGG is doing something with multi-threading that is triggering the issue and causing the application to go out of bounds and trying to use 100% of CPU cores that needs to get fixed regardless of whatever windows version.
I disabled "Dynamic Resolution" on graphics config and it did not crash once in a 2-hour play session. Before it was crashing every other map, 5~10 min interval.

Can someone try to replicate this, please?

Never had that turned on.

Anyway, the game should NEVER freeze your PC even if you turned on or off all the features ever possible. We should not try to come up with strange workarounds.
when will this issue be fixed? tired of pc freezing. considering giving the game a really bad review and giving it back as it's just not acceptable that it bricks my pc and no one seems to have a solution or even the smallest interest in telling us what's going on.

just writting that they are working on the issue 4 days ago isn't enough. we had a similar issue in poe1 and it took them MONTHS to fix it until it eventually came back.

please just give us some information.

The work around for freeze is to set your affinity to -2 cores in wondows task manager when you launch the game. Game still crashes but it doesn't freeze your computer.

Hello everyone :) I've done my due diligence and sent Timothy_GGG a DxDiag log, via pastebin. Make sure you do too!

In other news, I was able to turn on "eco mode" in my BIOS, which lassos my CPU to use 65W TDP. This drastically reduced my temps (maxing out at 93c -> maxing out around 80c). Whether or not it's preventing crashes, I do not know, but after 3 hours of playing I haven't met a freeze yet. I'd like others to look into this "eco mode" toggle in your BIOS too, and see if that fixes it for you.

Hello again, I have just now had my PC freeze once again, even with "eco mode" enabled; disregard it being a potential fix. :(
I once again encourage anyone to run DxDiag and to send the information to Timothy_GGG.
