Hard crashing PC locks up

"

You mad, 3 posts after mine, you have to learn to read too, those 2 guys started insulted me when i posted a similar config :) Maybe you can try somehting on your side.

I don't care, you have been reported. Come help, not laugh at people
Don't care too :) I helped posted similar config working without crash to give a counter exemple that not only the game provide crashs. I've read a lot of reply on this post and only fews guys fixed ther problem because they tried something like downgrade windows update/drivers or removing something directly linked to windows.
I running on a old system. S
But I got 70 Hours of playtime had my steam disk corrupted and fixed my way back to play over and over again.

I running:
W10 22H2
i7 4770k
16 GB Ram
EVGA 1070 TI FTW
w. SSD

But something about the crashes dosn't feel right, Its like the Windows Explorer.exe crashes and because poe takes so much CPU usage at this time the pc cant resolve the issue itself and freezes. (For my experience)

Also sometimes It does not fully freez the pc and it updates single frames every 30-50s.

I think i got my SSD and CPU cooked hard with this game, really hope the devs can get this resolved so its possible to have a crashless experience.

2nd day with no hard crashes. Still have crashes to desktop every hour when looking in inventory, loading map.

9800x3d
4090
64gb ram
Ssd
Win 11

Hello everyone :) I've done my due diligence and sent Timothy_GGG a DxDiag log, via pastebin. Make sure you do too!

In other news, I was able to turn on "eco mode" in my BIOS, which lassos my CPU to use 65W TDP. This drastically reduced my temps (maxing out at 93c -> maxing out around 80c). Whether or not it's preventing crashes, I do not know, but after 3 hours of playing I haven't met a freeze yet. I'd like others to look into this "eco mode" toggle in your BIOS too, and see if that fixes it for you.

How did this affect your performance?

Its crazy how many ppl have crashes. I'm confident its YOUR pc on YOUR side guys.

My spec:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Nvidia RTX4090
64GB DDR5
Kingstone SSD
W11

My wife's spec:
Ryzen 7 5800
Nvidia RTX3080Ti
32GB DDR4
Samsung SSD
W11

My Brother's spec (be ready):
Ryzen 5 3600
24GB DDR4
My 10 years OLD but still good GTX980
Crucial SSD
W11

Everything updated, all drivers updated.

None of us have a single crash.

At some point you have to identifie yourself what's problem or config you need on your computer.

The single crash I've got is when i clicked the login first time and then no more crash since.

Some guys here have a 9800x3d and a $5000 setup, i'm pretty sure they don't know they have to configure PBO curve and so on... what a joke.

you obviously have absolutely and utterly 0 clue about tech at all lmao

For context, my rig is
3080ti ROG STRIX 12GB
32GB 6000MHz Corsair Vengeance CL30
Samsung 970 Pro NVME M.2 SSD
Ryzen 7 9800X3D

No CPU Overclocks
GPU Undervolted to 0.9V, Memory Clock +500MHz

In terms of performance, I've barely noticed anything in PoE2 getting worse. I still hover around 90FPS with dynamic resolution (as that is what I set it to), with DLSS and DLAA on, everything max-settings. Other games also don't seem to have any performance hits, at least not to my eye. CP2077, Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster, Elden Ring hit 60FPS comfortably (with CP and HZD using DLSS to achieve it). There's a post on Reddit saying it has improved their gaming performance. I found https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i9-14900k-raptor-lake-tested-at-power-limits-down-to-35-w/6.html this website, showcasing an i9-14900K not taking much of a hit from toning down the TDP.

All in all this seems to be a good choice in my personal use case, as anything >90FPS = playable, but your mileage may vary. Please take the time to experiment whether this is a good solution for you; again, I still haven't found out if this has completely eliminated the crashing/freezing! It may still happen!

There's literally 100 pages on this thread and 70 pages on another thread about the game crashing, and you respond with the "works on my machine" braindead take.

It's windows, the game, and certain combination of setups. A technical problem could NOT be this widespread if it's user error.
+1 crashing
