Hard crashing PC locks up

Same. This is the original problem of the thread, the new windows update 24H2 added a different way to schedule CPU tasks and this is interfering with how t he game handles the X3D CPU's and using Windows 23H2 fixes this issue.

The 24h2 issue is impacting way more than just X3D cpus. I'm not sure where that line of thought started. Lots of people, myself included, with Intel cpus are having the 100% cpu pc lock-up/freeze issue during loading screens where you have to do a hard restart.

it doesn't let me send the message to
can you send this link of the dxdiag Timothy_GGG
WIN11 23H2
https://mega.nz/file/QVw0lKSI#7zlVOWzO9sHzsvsFUZTYd2WiJxUcNuLWSQKoSxa_KSw
For the people that have already reinstalled windows 23h2 and are saying that they're no longer having issues with the crashing and the PC lockups are you still experiencing high temperatures on load screens?
Tried the December update, still freeze the PC. I assume it's one of these thing they can't figure out what crash the PC and they avoid talking about it because they can't fix it yet.
As I understand the root of the problem is in updated Windows Task / Thread Scheduler, so only new windows version affected by that problem.

Nope, win 10 22H2 here. Same issue. For now, what only solved was the afinity workaround
Same issue. Will be sending DXDIAG to the GGG staff that posted

W11
i9-14900K
Nvidia 4080 SUPER
32G DDR5 RAM
Ca. You describe the affinity workaround please?

Hi everyone, whilst we have already been investigating this issue already, it would be massively helpful if you could provide your dxdiag output by doing the following on windows:

run > dxdiag > save all information

and sending me that file or it's contents in a private message.

Thanks!

I think we would appreciate it if this was put back up on the known issues post as well. I know not every issue is listed there but this is literally game breaking, in some cases PC breaking.

*edit I was wrong and blind it's their please ignore.
