Magnified definitely works on CoC-Comet, visually it becomes way bigger.
I tested Frostbolt, and magnified is better in wall for me. However, Comet has bigger AoE than FB, so it might be better for you to place it in CoC.

P.S. Got my hands on some nice Maligaro's after y'll mentioned them here, but holy, that dex req is ugh...and I can't find resistances atm, very hard to fit T_T

Idea is nice tho.


Thanks for the reply as per usual Monik. I'll try to post my build in Maxroll later today. I haven't done that before. I have an Igenuity belt which was the reason that I opted out of the Snakepit ring because, of course Ingenuity works well with high stat rings. So, in one ring I have 18dex on it (I think? - I'm not on my pc right now). Because of Ingenuity, I only had to spec 3 nodes to DEX on the tree. And, the gloves themselves can provide up to 20DEX. I equipped a temporary item with DEX (it was a unique armour, I don't remember what). And once I had the gloves on, it adds the 20DEX to your total stats. Another thing you have to sac is the Debuff enchant on the rare gloves. I figured I had enough slow by now, but it was still noticeable when I let that go.

Anyway, without Ingenuity, you need around 30DEX on gear (which is still not easy to fit into the build).

Anyway, holidays are over, so yeah. Have to reduce playtime.
Taking a break from endgame grinding for now, no more upgrades for some time.

Frostbolt explosions are stronger than projectile damage, have some AoE, and, most importantly, they can shotgun.

This offers awesome synergy with Frost Wall (shotgunning) and Cast on Crit-Comet for generating a crapload of energy for the latter. If you check my Simulacrum video, you can notice me exploding walls with the Frostbolt for that.

As for the builds, well. Seeders build is very different, I can't tell how to improve it.

Your best bet is to check some pobs and videos from the OP for reference.
A video guide by PaintMaster is quite good, there is also Chobi0ne's explained maxroll too.


Ahh thanks, I understand now about the shotgunning. Thanks, yea it will take me awhile to see what else I can come up with do since no more discussion seems to be happening on the Crit EOW post. Might need to change up.

Also on a side note, my comet DPS might've been wrong. While trying to shift things out It looks like before I went on vacation unleash still worked with comet and now it does not? LOL I was dropping triple comets previously but now I cant socket it anymore.

You can easily test it in your own hideout.
Just place a self-cast Frost Wall and shoot frostbolt (with scattershot) at it. First do it without Snakepit, then do it with Snakepit.
Now repeat it, but add Spell Cascade support to Frost Wall.

You can't really bind Time Freeze to the duration WS, have to manually switch it.
Anyway, I have Conductivity curse there, and Soul Offering. Quite good this way.

My comet has an 800 mana cost. I thought I was doing fine until I tried the trial master where seeing my meteors do like 200k dmg. Only managed to get him down to 50% before I died to lack of mana and mechanics.

I had a similar mana issue and it was completely solved by using Temporal Rift.
Unleash your whole combo/cast chain -> Temporal Rift -> repeat
That's one of Chronomancer-specific strengths, being able to sustain big single target casts without much investment into resource recovery.
