No it's not. Slow reduces all actions, not just movement.
This node is greatly underestimated, a 20% slow aura around you at all times is HUGE. It's like a temporal Chains Blasphemy aura on you, further more, it stacks with that which makes you able to outright slow everything around you for 50% if you also have the blasphemy+temporal chains going

I really wish this thing can slow ailments on enemies too just like temporal chains.
Same goes for the Time Freeze. If it can prolong Freeze duration, it definitely will be more useful than it seems.
I know this isn't really part of the intended build, but I'm looking at the tree and you can get 70% of damage recouped as life, and all the nodes are near Sorc start. So with Circular Heartbeat/Rapid River you're recouping 100% of damage taken over 4 seconds. This might be a really cracked defensive Ascendancy even if the offense isn't as nice as we wanted :o

I saw it too today, yep. 100% recoup is OP af, played plenty of those builds.

Anyway, I can change "intended build" however I want, so if recoup is da wae for Chrono, so be it =)
poe 1
https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Slow_aura

theres a poe 2 passive tree up. it has a bunch of nodes that "increase slow effect 10%". and, also mention hinder.

https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Hinder

sorry, but pretty sure SLOW is just going to be movement. yes. if it was action speed, it would be really good.

slow and slow effect. idk. maybe? not likely that great.
not, that as the wiki for poe 1 states. hinder and temp chains don't stack either.

and yeah, I'd like time stop to do more.
the obvious I think is, negating dodge/block/evade. how can something frozen in time do any of those things.

I did expect chronomancer to be more Damage over time focused as well.

Chrono Slow is an action speed slow since it doesn't specify what exactly it slows down..
Also, chill, hinder, and temporal chains are multiplicative to each other. Considering the diminishing returns on monster rarity, it's still possible to noticeably slow down bosses.

Also, I've checked poe2db.tw, it seems a lot of skill gems have been changed, so some things in the post are irrelevant.

There are several support skills that add CD.

I also dead set on using dual elements, bc Cold and Fire have some decent interactions between them. Cold as the main element, Fire is secondary.

Anyway, launch is screwed, so I'll start updating things on Sunday.
Gonna sleep.
Small advice - focus on cold spells in act 1.
Tomorrow will record some gameplay, add passive tree and choice of skills.
So far was very smooth for me.

yeah. good news. poe2 slow does appear to be action speed.
theres 6% slow magnitude in chrono, and 28% in the ascendancy tree.

so yeah, that passive ought to be quite good.

and yeah, fortress debuffs damage.
hourglass and the more aoe size +cd supports can't be used on skills with CD's already. rough.

so, maybe comet.

im leveling with frost bolt atm, and that is beast. massive chill/freeze. auto pierce. solid damage.

yes, firewall is very good. especially with eye of winter.. and climate change node. lots more +proj nodes on the tree.

Act 1 finished.

Passive tree:

- Focus on Cold Element.
- Get Frost Bomb first. Support gems: Magnified Effect -> Second Wind.
- Ice Nova second. Support gems: Unleash -> Glaciation.
- Frost Bomb + Ice Nova combo is enough to clear small mobs.
- Get Staff with Freezing Shards. Supports: Arcane Tempo (from Flame Wall), can do Frost Nexus. Don't use Chain here, shards are for single target.
- Get Flame Wall. Supports: no need, but get Arcane Tempo, for Freezing Shards.
- Shoot Freezing Shards through Flame Wall for the good single target dps.
- Frostbolt. Supports: Scattershot -> Deceleration.
- I gave an honest shot to Frostbolt + Cold Snap, but it can't beat Freezing Shards at single target dps. At least, for now.
- Final act 1 boss was a problem, took 4 tries.

Here is early Act 2 gameplay footage with a boss fight.

I was using the same stuff as at the end of act 1.
Tree is like above.

I'm somewhere close to the end of Act 2 atm.
Did the Trial in 1 try, was easier than I expected.
Got Now and Again Chronomancers node. It is way better than I expected. I managed to put 7 frost bombs at once =) Anyway, it procs really well.
