POE 2 early access paywall

The released game is free.

In game purchase is not neccessary.

Its only MTX.

GGG did an amazing job with tons of content.

Next week I get new amazing MTX and I will regret nothing.

Keep going GGG.
Poe 1 did it. I'd say given that it gives equal currency to the money you get for the key or pack you get, it's not really a terrible way to do it. It's effectively the same as if you paid for currency to buy stash/cosmetics in the shop just with added benefit of early access.

my god, you going to play a game and you think its predatory for them to ask for money?

Yes, I'm playing it. Yes, I gave them money. Still, the free-to-play model is one of the most lucrative and also most predatory systems ever introduced to gaming. That they are selling keys for Early Access is another matter entirely.

So you never bought a stash tab?

They have no value, no matter how you spin it. Stash tabs are irrelevant and are borderline pay-to-win anyway. Let's not go there now. That'd just derail the thread.

[Removed by Support] You are never forced to buy ANYTHING in this game, it is fully up to you. Forking over literal chump change for stash tabs won't affect you unless you are hundreds of hours into the game. If you've played that long you SHOULD support the company that is making one of the best games in history. If you really don't want to [Removed by Support], you don't have to. [Removed by Support] I for one don't mind at all that I've spent as much money as I have, because I don't mind supporting something I love and have investment in. [Removed by Support]

This is funny. It comes from someone that has bought (at least) x3 $60 bucks Supporter Packs, and a $160 bucks one.

Those packs have nothing to do with POE 2 or its beta. Please don't get sidetracked. We're not talking about POE 1 here.

If you don't spend $1,000+ on a game, you are not a gamer. IN fact, they should give all players who spent $1,000+ dollars a free key if not 2.

Quite a few people here tend to get hung up about certain dollar figures and their appropriateness, however the amounts are irrelevant. Whether the beta entrance fee is $30 or $3 or 3 cents it still doesn't make sense in principle.

Guys, it's very simple: a free-to-play game should have a free public beta.

Are you aware that things like free-to-play, beta, alpha, 1.0 are just totally made-up concepts and every developer uses these terms however they like?
What's FREE TO PLAY even mean? If I will log to menu, AM I playing to you?
Nothing is really free.
