The community is taking the delay really well. Surprisingly well.

This is the worst end of the year delay for PoE 1 in my 13 years here.

It's also the first time in my 13 years here that they've had to merge and migrate three different player account databases to a new system. These are entirely unprecedented circumstances - it's not just a matter of needing more time to get a league mechanic working, or anything.

They did, and at that time they thought that it wouldn't, because they were obviously focused primarily on the development of both games. It turned out they were mistaken about PoE2's launch impacting PoE1 because they ran into an account database migration issue that was not directly related to developing either game.

So, yes, an unforeseen circumstance threw a wrench in their plans, which will happen occasionally. Life is what happens while you make other plans, man proposes while God disposes, etc. It doesn't mean that development work on 3.26 was taking a back seat to development work on PoE2, both of which are going just fine -- it's just the back-end systems work which is taking longer than usual, and affecting both products' launches because they're both dependent on that same back-end database architecture.

I don't what you're talking about, but I've been seeing plenty of unhappy comments, and they seem to be surviving just fine. It's only comments that violate the Code of Conduct that get deleted. If you're (hypothetically) posting lots of ad hominem personal attacks, insults, and casting aspersions on the character and motivations of GGG's team members or fellow forum-goers, then yes, your toxic crap will get flushed, as it should. If you're (hypothetically) able to express your unhappiness with the situation without resorting to that sort of highly toxic behaviour, then your comments will get left alone so that others can engage with them.

And, to be clear, nobody's happy about the delays. GGG are not happy about the delays -- just look at Jonathan's face in that video. I'm not happy about the delay, even though I think that delaying was the only responsible thing they could do. And if you're not happy about either delay, then you've got plenty of company. Just be civil about it, is all. Is that really so hard?

Nothing like conflating a 3 week delay with a 3+ month delay. Not at all disingenuous!

The two delays are related to the same root cause, which is the issues merging and migrating the old account databases into the new account database that both PoE1 and PoE2 will use after the shift. That's not conflating them, I don't think -- it's just acknowledging that the two delays are related, which is accurate enough because they are related.

If you're more upset about the 3.26 delay than others are about the PoE2 delay, then that's entirely understandable, of course, but it doesn't mean that anyone's being disingenuous. That includes you, by the way; your disappointment is clearly entirely sincere.

Also, where are you seeing that 3.26 was delayed by 3+ months? GGG hadn't said anything about what their release plans were for 3.26, so neither of us can know what the plan used to be, but it seems unlikely that they were planning to release 3.26 in November. It's unlikely to have been planned for late December, either; early December might have been their internal target date, but that's not a 3+ month delay -- it's more like a 1+ month delay. maybe six weeks?

(OK, that's it, I promise I'm done adding to this one.)

Just wait until at the end of the month they push it back again. No way they deliver on the December release date, they are having merging servers issues. That shit is ghost in the machine level of headache. They either push the date back again or they say, "oops, sorry, the thing we said about mtx xfer isn't gonna work out... just for release tho..."
Can't wait to be reading this again in 3 weeks when the next delay happens
