From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?

If it saves my wrists, I would switch. POE 1 is such a carpal giver.
I've been playing POE for so long, that the burnout is getting heavier each time. Even though I love the game, playing the same game for too long really makes my brain go into depression. That's why I play more than one ARPG (Grim Dawn, Last Epoch, Diablo IV, Titan Quest, and a few more) and have them on rotation. With enough time apart from a game, I can let my brain recover from the over-stimulation that game provided.
Since PoE 2 is something fresh, it'll get more attention at the beginning, but ultimately it will join the cycle.

For me, the concept of playing only 1 game, or as few as possible, for tens of thousand of hours, is insane. I have around 5200 hours in POE and I think that is way more than I actually need. In the end POE 2 will join POE 1 in the cycle of playing about 2 weeks of each league and then move on. Life too short, and way too many games to be played, no use in focusing on only 1.
I'll be all over POE2 when it launches. It looks great so far. As to where I will stay... I guess we'll see. I suspect it'll be with POE2. Unless POE1 keeps the currency exchange and hopefully expands it to items, I don't see a world where I stick with POE1.

Depends how the POE2 campaign is designed and the endgame systems overall.

If it's a gateway/hub to access various endgame systems like D4 overworld zone than i will consider playing it longer.

Also how the endgame is designed. Jonathan mentioned in one of the last talks that it's maps again which is resident sleeper tbh not having envisioned something new in the meantime. Maybe it's a temporary solution and time will tell.

Currently how it stands right now i will for sure try it but keep POE1 the main game since i can have half the features of POE2 in ruthless here as well.
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
Move, I needed something new, at least in terms of campaign

I’ve been really on the fence on whether I’ll enjoy poe2 or not but since you brought this up… poe2 would be far superior for just this alone lmao
I am not too concerned with increase in control complexity the gameplay involves. Having history with games like Dota or Counterstrike where fast reflexes often determine who wins; this looks relatively simple.

Warcries, banner, Blessing, movement skill, molten Shell, Vaal haste & grace, Stance Change, main skill and movement... I'm already managing all of these things comfortably like many others people who like melee. Those who play tornado shot or righteous fire though...

I am very keen to see what PoE2 has to offer. I love how it looks and I'm excited for something new yet familiar. It's not just a fresh coat of paint which is appealing.
I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.
I'm really looking forward to playing it and I'm glad they're not trying to make the exact same thing with the second one. Been playing for over 10 years now so something different from my favorite developer is super exciting. I love souls games and this looks like a top down souls game for a lack of a better comparison. I have faith it's going to be a badass title whether it's super similar to the first game or not.
I’ll play both. Contrary to the doom and gloomers, I don’t believe GGG wants to make a bad game and/or a game that won’t appeal to PoE1 players. I see no reason to panic or get all worked up when we don’t even have a picture of what endgame is going to be.
