From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?
" Well, this just aged like milk, didn't it. https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1h8lf9y/dodge_roll_should_give_phasing/ I don't want to be all "I told you so.", but: I told you so. Gaming PC: Win 11, 7600X3D, RTX 4080, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, 7000 MB/s SSD, 850W, 3840x2160p 120Hz

What did they leave in POE2 that we liked in POE1? Nothing, except the setting. They cut 90% of the crafting, 90% of the mechanics, added ridiculous rolls and "EPIC" boss battles. They simplified everything they could, just so that console players wouldn't have any trouble understanding the game. Maybe Twitch soyjacks will appreciate it, but I don't need it. If I want to play Dark Souls, I'll play Dark Souls. So the choice is obvious. The developers made the game not for POE1 players, but for themselves (I want to believe it) and idiot streamers.

I predicted that it wanted to become the dark souls of arpgs.
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3407628 Also in my opinion the fireball and spark skill effect look much worse than the cool poe 1 versions from 2013. These effects don't showcase power like they do/did in poe 1. POE 1 was designed for the pc fanbase. This is how a pc game looks and feels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDFO4E5OKSE&t=96s Heart of Purity Awarded 'Silverblade' to Talent Competition Winner 2020. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDFO4E5OKSE POE 2 is designed primarily for console. Poe 2 for sure. This warrior playstyle is perfect and the difficulty is great, love a bit of a challenge

Based on day 1 balance I would go back to poe 1. Will see where we get to though. It is early access after all.

" Well I don't play PoE 1, tried it about 5 years ago wasn't for me. Been waiting for PoE 2. I'm not a huge souls like player but I do like the slower pace and feel this is dark and gritty and what really D4 should of been. I've played a lot of Last epoch waiting for this and getting used too the gameplay. PoE 2 is a beautiful game I'm 21 lvl lets see how the game feels with gear latter on. |

TBH, GGG appears to have decided to go down the Dark Souls path, but it has none of the benefits of a DS game...no first person, no close in third person. In fact, I would call this game 75% DS, 25% aarpg. If I wanted to play a DS game, I would play a DS game. I played for a bit last night and TBH, not really interested in playing any more as I'll probably head back to POE.

As i've said many times POE 1 is not POE. POE died in 3.15. They've used POE as a testing ground for POE 2 so much it's not even the same game and you'd know this if you got to play before 3.15. visually and mechanically they've ruined poe for poe 2.
I won't be playing either. they can pay all the streamers in the world to hype up the games but luckily I'm not a zoomer and can resist it. |

I think it's hilarious the salt in here claiming the game is a dark souls clone because... you have to dodge? Dark souls didn't invent dodging damage folks.

" 3.14 was the last great moment in arpg history imo. I didn't hate PoE after that, but it hasn't been that good since. LE has potential. D4 is turd sauce. PoE 2 isn't the worst thing ever so far, but I don't feel any fomo when I log out. |
