From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?

With the entire design philosophy around POE2, most certainly POE1. Not genuinely enjoying POE2 at all. Looks great, sounds great, but the actual "game" feels like a complete slog.

I finally got past the boss of Act 1, most of my game-time up until that point spent thinking "If I wanted to dodge roll all day I would be playing the elden ring dlc". First boss I get to in act 2 was effing Rhadan. I logged out after that. To say that I feel let down by something I've been looking forward to for years would be the understatement of the century.

It honestly kind of pisses me off to think I helped fund this mess.

Poe1 league cant come soon enough. I want to like poe2 but its current state is just boring. I don't wanna fight bosses all campaign and I don't want it to take 3-4 skill rotations to kill 2 white mobs. Its fucking ass. I want to fucking blast.

Stay with poe 1 as poe 2 is just a dumb down version of poe 1 for the masses.

The greatest thing about Early Access is it brought into stark relief how much I like PoE 1. I think a lot of others are going to feel the same within the next month.

I always knew this, but I got caught up in the release hype - which is always fun, and I regret nothing. But 2 is everything I expected it to be.

PoE 1 all the way.

PoE 2 will see a lot of improvements. PoE 1 started off very rough too. But if ruthless is the direction they are hoping to take PoE 2 and keep it there...PoE 1 all the way.

Unfortunately even after finishing cruel, it's just not fun. Too slow and tedious. I'm already back to POE 1 :(

WIll most likely stick to PoE2, I'll most likely try PoE1 league every 3-4 month but maybe not clear them.

Had my fair share of 1button click build. While it was fun the first 500h hours (which is a fair bit tbh xD), Most PoE1 skill are the same. All melee build are right click next because. Interaction only occur on a numerical level.

While PoE2 is slower, I feel I have more control over what's happening, more strategy.

POE 1 is for those who like:

-> loot simulator
-> advanced crafting
-> economy
-> mouse click based controls
-> plowing through enemies.


POE 2 is for those who like:

-> challenge
-> roguelike games
-> souls like bosses
-> crafting their own gear
-> xbox controller

Since I like loot, economy and mouse click controls, I prefer POE 1. I do like a challenge but the poe 2 mouse click controls interfere here. And my dexterity is not good enough anymore to deal with these clunky controls and face souls-like bosses. And no I don't play with a controller because I have a huge stance against console games which in my opinion have ruined pc gaming.

Also you can play POE 1 with multiple attack skills as well. People referring to 1-button mashing only do it because of streamer FOMO.
