Game is turning into a glass cannon only builds
Pretty sure you could trade charms in Affliction
You couldn't modify them Last edited by Johny_Snow on Aug 28, 2024, 6:32:09 AM

lol categorically taking account-bound option off the table like is the actual mad

There already are account-bound items in Path of Exile. MTX and challenge rewards for one, and character-bound items with quest items & rewards.
And it's not like we didn't have account-bound equipment before. Anyone remember Sanctum league? Yeah. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

It makes sense for league-specific items to be account-bound when they are being tested during a league. Sides, all these account-bound items do not relate to character power and do not lock you out of content (except for unique contracts I guess)

" the me of 10 years ago would have agreed with you. the me now? i have to tell you i am quite mad. thanks to gold, we now have automated trade. i got a lot of tattoos and "cheap currency" traded and in a very short amount of time with minimal effort. all without needing to alt tab. the gold helped combat botting and market manipulation. if your item doesnt sell, your gold is not refunded and it eats up a trade slot. for the future of the game, account bound items can also encourage users to actually USE their items rather than just hoarding them to convert them into divines. i would also point out that we actually DO have something thats account bound, which has been around for a long time by now that many have forgotten about. sulphite and whatever blue shit that comes withit (stopped caring about delve "forever") lol. i would also argue that the devs would have more freedom to implement more player power via making items account bound. for example having a strong enchantment which players can reliably craft but cause the item to be account bound, which can help SSF players. trade league players do get some sort of benefit too as item prices can go UP in value since players are removing items from the market by binding them to their account. You are talking about resources needed to engage in league mechanics. I am talking about items. No item should be account-bound, everything must be tradable. Else, the game goes the same way D3 did - down the toilet

I will never forgive GGG for "solving" the "players got too much power out of harvest because of TfT" issue by utterly slaugtering harvest. Call me mad if you want but just making harvest crafted items account bound would have solved the issue while keeping harvest as a relevant crafting mechanic rather than the gambling/fragment switch tool it is now.
The combination of balancing the entire game around trade while simultanouesly refusing to put an even remotely decent tradefunctionalty in the game is POEs biggest issue to this day in my opinion. Currency Exchange went a long way in aleviating that and it's honestly the best addition to the game since it's release but item trade is still a horrifying mess. |

I for one would like an orb that would apply 10x better rolls to item in exchange for making it account bound.
