ARPG without trade would be terrible. Just look at D3/D4, terrible.
However i think current system with browser is superior to ingame AH.

Alt-Tab not a big deal.

You realize that MASSIVE amount of ARPGs are single player only, meaning they dont have trade system? I guess they all are terrible?

Yes pretty much

There are some 1 week wonders once in a while ofc you can play it for story and stuff but interest dies pretty fast , but you know that’s just my opinion if ppl enjoy farming solo and hitting the slot machine not knowing they’re making any progress or not that’s fine - for them

I'm not looking to get involved in this discussion again, but here is the link to the manifesto describing GGG's stance on trade to help inform the discussion.

So you are saying just because you cant play "single player offline game" for 10k hourds like PoE it makes them terrible? Nice.

Thanks for posting that!
I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.
Tons of RNG layers and clunky implementation of trade platform is an answer to the trade. Basically the trade is a primary reason why we have to grind as madmen and trade to beat the trade. Something like that.
I totally like, agree with your oversimplified meat analogy.

I got a simple solution. Why not implemented a system that you dont have to leave maps, story and a player that buy just needs to come to your hideout. Then you trade your junk to him.

I am not a programer so i don't know if this would be hard to code.

This is just on top of my head, what do you guys think?
People need to stop thinking we dont have AH/better trading system because GGG doesnt know how to make it.
They just dont want to. Thats it.
How about an auction house for items less x Chaos or other common currencies?

Mostly logical fallacies prevailing in this thread by the usual suspects. People arguing in bad faith pretending there haven't been dozens of games with successful auction houses / economies.

This is a solved problem, folks, and "But bots! and D3's auction house! look at my 40 challenges!" lack substance.

People who benefit from the existing tft/rmt system will always pop up in these threads. Try to remember that.

Sure, there have been lots of games with successful market places, but I think you would struggle to find one in this genre. And before YOU start to "argue in bad faith" by comparing apples to oranges, why don't you answer ONE question without breaching into other, non-related genres:

You use the word "solved", which you are entitled to. But can you please speculate for more than one second as to why not a single successful game in this genre has "nailed" trading? Why do YOU think it's "solved"? And the games in this genre that "solved" it, how did they do it?

I don't think anyone has solved it within this genre, certainly not PoE. But do you know why? Because it's fucking hard - and it's almost an impossible balance between acquisition of gear via trade, loot, crafting and the in-game progression as a whole. "Buying/selling what I want, when I want" isn't a birthright, and there's so much more to a game with trading than that.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
