What Happened with Items

After nearly 15k hours in this game I am done! You killed fun and you are insulting community by telling us that we do not see what we see.
No word about Harvest botching, not bringing back Reforge keep Prefix/Suffix, quadrupling down on these arguably terrible decisions, downplaying colossal mistakes as if they're minor and unimportant.

The argument about the longevity of the game is bogus too, noone wants to have a terrible experience now in order for the game to be fun in 15 months time.

You have insulted our intelligence a few times too many, don't you think?

I didn't like how the Harvest rework was then advertised as an improvement while hiding nerfs with all the removed crafts AND the low amount of life force given even on T16.
I thought the nerfs to the add x modifier type could have been nice, provided I could have enough life force to try break few items before landing it, during the course of the league. Even after the costs rebalance it seems not viable for someone like me that play 3-4 hours per day.

GGG I encourage you to keep doing a good job! I really appreciate all the hard work and effort and even the time taken to write out all the errors that were made. I'm sure over time this will be fixed. The problem here is that people feel PEER PRESSURE from certain youtubers, and what certain people say incite some of the player to "violence" whether it be name calling or putting people down etc.

Philosophy One: Reward mechanisms should scale properly with Item Quantity and Rarity bonuses

That's why the reward conversion system that higher-tier Archnemesis monsters have is so powerful. Any bonuses you have from additional difficulty will affect the rewards that the rare monster drops. Additional item quantity causes them to drop more items that are converted, and additional item rarity causes those items to upgrade, which also affects the converted one.

Most of the player base HATE archnemesis. so now the loot in the game has to be balanced around some bullshit rare to find archnemesis modifier to find some sort of valuable loot.

This game design is crazy man… not only that but now we have to stack quant and rarity and duplicate currency rewards and pray that rares… that are already extremely rare to find just magically pop into the map and rain rewards. You have 6 portals so maybe…. You can kill it. Maybe.

But you need the quant, and the rarity… and the duplicate currency and so many other things to make it work.

The design is simply broken. Is this really the mechanic that a good game is based on. I don’t think so.


Philosophy Two: Players should fight fewer Rare Monsters at once, but they should be more challenging and rewarding

Maps are so empty, the consistent rewards have been remove and now you get a map boss that makes it rain or a 1/1000 maps chance to find a archnemesis modifier combination that makes it rain. It’s terrible. It feels just super bad. I can’t explain how the life in the map, the excitement has just been abolished.

Philosophy Three: There shouldn't be a large gap between the difficulty and rewards of league content and base game content.

I agree. But the rewards shouldn’t be completely gated behind archnemesis mods.
Look at it like this:
Archnemesis (we don’t really like it)
Other leagues - we all have our hated and liked but they’re all pretty much equally as rewarding.
Now…. Nothing feels rewarding and the only thing that feels rewarding is the thing we all don’t really like that much.


Honestly, it’s your game we definitely shouldn’t be telling you how to design it.
But these recent change and design philosophies sound like a mad scientist experimenting and tinkering in the garage looking some an answer to a problem he doesn’t have.
